    From what the electrician said to me you only need the isolation switch fitting if you have the 100 amp fuse, the 60 amp is fine for the charger and does not require an upgrade to 100 or the isolation switch. But what confused me was his statement about my fuse box, he told me as i have modern RCD fuses the EV fuse cannot be fitted to the existing unit which is why the new fuse box containing the RCD for the EV was fit in the cupboard next to mine. My thought was they would just add another fuse to my existing consumer unit, the one they wanted to fit outside was huge and had to be mounted below the white electric box which would have looked a right eye sore on the drive so i said no way.
