Glos Guy, whether the road noise is acceptable or not will depend on the surfaces you drive on. Our routine high speed runs are from Dorset to either Surrey or southeast London usung M3, M25 and M20. Most of the time there’s no need to even raise our voice in conversation. On the short concrete section of M3 and the appalling concrete surface of the M25 around Leatherhead it’s pretty bad, but as we do those runs only once a month (in normal times) it’s not something we bother about. If we were doing it every day, we would definitely look for a quieter car. Hopefully you can arrange to have a test drive on your regular route.
