Standard leather seats on the X1 were improved before we got ours and we’ve found them fine, although I was concerned at first the squab seemed hard and unforgiving but I think it was the thickness and stiffness of the leather covering which took a few weeks to relax.
Unless they’ve changed it, the standard sound system has big speakers under the front seats and for me gives very good and natural sound and plenty of it.
