We are in exactly the same situation having paid a deposit and ordering a B200 Premium Plus last August. Absolutely no information at all from the dealer. Can someone please explain the allocation system because I don’t understand it. Car production is complex but it comes down to the right part arriving at the production time at the right time. There was a time when firm orders were given priority because there is minimal time between manufacture and receipt of payment. Failure of suppliers to deliver to the right quantity and quality on time would mean heavy fines for the supplier. Somewhere in Germany or perhaps Hungary is a production planner who is managing a backlog of B200 orders and knows when he has each order pencilled in to be built. It would make a lot of people very happy if the production plan was published. Not to worried at the moment because we couldn’t drive anywhere if it was delivered tomorrow. Let’s hope we have a nice new car in our posession for the spring. We all need a lift.
