@Chrism74 your company should be looking at V2G chargers, if possible, so they can make money from electricity going back into the grid when your trucks are not in use.
As the old saying goes “build it and they will come” the demand for truck, HGV specific chargers will be built soon as demand will be ramped up. The government has indicated they will be spending £millions on infrastructure so hopefully this will be on the list.
There could be scope for battery replacement in the case of trucks and HGV’s this would make the process much simpler and quicker but does come with a cost.
The Tesla Semi is on sale in the UK, I think, and gives a range, depending on battery package, of between 300 and 500 miles on a single charge.
