EllyBeen to see the new Kuga today, it had just arrived and was being cleaned ready for the showroom so our visit was very timely and lucky!
We are a bit disappointed. Inside it felt just like our current Kuga that we love, but outside, no, don’t like the shorter height or longer length, don’t like the front grill or it’s angle. Feel it’s a lot of AP for what it is. It’s helped knock it off our list for certain now though! That’s at least something!
Our current Kuga is only giving us 27 to 28 mpg so we hope to get something that offers a bit more. - CreatorTopic

Carl barkerWhich model did you look at i think they look good yes they are expensive which model kuga do you have now
March 7, 2020 at 2:05 am #108721
EllyCarl I currently have a titanium Petrol auto, the one we saw was a Titanium manual.
Brydo, yes the VW Tiguan is really my favourite now. Probably has been all along really. The extravagant side of me says get it, the practical side of me says get the Seat Ateca, drives the same and looks pretty good and kinder on the pocket. ? Decisions! I’d really like something that has better mpg than my kuga does currently, the mpg is what put me off the Volvo xc40 a bit.March 7, 2020 at 6:17 am #108722
MikeYes Elly read honest John real mpg on all the makes very interesting
March 7, 2020 at 6:46 am #108724not a huge fan of the new kuga myself it was on our list for this years change but much prefer the old one tbh

EllyYes file28. Am disappointed we aren’t fans of it but as I say, it’s helped shorten the list a bit now at least ?
Choices choices choices!

March 7, 2020 at 3:10 pm #108754Economy is supposed to be much improved on the new kuga the old one wasn’t great.
Although it wouldn’t meet my needs I can see it selling well.March 7, 2020 at 3:18 pm #108755

brydoElly I’ve been in both the kuga hybrid and the Tiguan r line and I must admit I preferred the kuga but the price of the Tiguan, plus the £600, makes the Tiguan a no brainer. I am not the motability customer, its the wife, but we would get the r line for £1745-600-700GCB=£445, now that’s a bargain.
March 7, 2020 at 8:28 pm #108776
MikeIt is a blooming bargain forget the Kuga
March 7, 2020 at 8:43 pm #108778
BrydoOr just over £1000 for the auto.
March 7, 2020 at 9:37 pm #108781If you can wait/extend your current lease a little bit longer, the new Ford Puma 7-speed dual clutch auto is coming out in May apparently. I’ve seen two on the roads now (Pumas), one in blue & one in grey, and it looks stunning.
March 7, 2020 at 10:43 pm #108782
MikeYes the puma looks fab will it be very economical ?

EllyWhat’s the -700 Brydo?
March 8, 2020 at 10:04 am #108799It’s the “Good Condition Bonus” you get back from Motability at the end of the lease period (assuming you haven’t smashed up the car!!. It used to be £250 but was increased as follows,
3yr lease – £600 GCB
4yr lease – £700 GCB
5yr Lease – £900 GCB
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
March 8, 2020 at 11:14 am #108805
brydoThanks for that Phaedra, yes GCB of £700 as we are in forth year, it could go up to the full £900 as we can’t make up our minds just now and we need to change in December.
The Tiguan r line tech diesel auto is £37,000 worth of car, the tech is second to none in its class IMO, you also get a panoramic sun roof thrown in. The colour choice is limited but I think its the stand out pick of the entire scheme.

Clipped wingsbeen to see it as just arrived at Keith’s. not for us as access is far more difficult than the Touran. Boot just ok for rollator but only with rear seats fully forward which destroys rear leg room. Seats seemed small and driving position lower which will suit some I guess. Was a st line and dark and gloomy without panoramic roof. Touran it is unless Allspace SEL dsg arrives for Q2. Boot loading much higher than Touran so might be hard sell to the boss.
March 8, 2020 at 3:43 pm #108821Saw one yesterday outside my local Ford dealership and was shocked how different it looks to the old one. Looked like a taller estate car rather than a SUV, and certainly from the outside didn’t look anything special for the money.
March 8, 2020 at 5:39 pm #108832
PhiljbJust got back from trust ford in epsom, they have a couple of new kugas in the showroom both manual not for me it was very dark and cramped in the rear, also very cheap and nasty looking interior.
The boot looked exactly the same size as the old one to me, so average size, not as big as a touran. I didn’t like the seats either and no head rest back and forwards adjustment like the tiguan and galaxy titanium x.
Overall disappointing to be honest as this has been a very long time coming.March 8, 2020 at 8:38 pm #108837
EllyBrydo, if £700 is your GCB what’s £600 you’ve deducted too?
March 8, 2020 at 8:47 pm #108838the £600 is dealer contribution to ap. theres a dealer giving £600 off the ap.
