It’s broken down again, luckily this time in the drive way, rac on their way again, I called Nissan to try book an appointment, next one available 22nd of Jan lol. Currently in an appointment when I finis I’ll try other Nissan dealerships if they’re all far then it’s time to have a word with motability, I did log the first breakdown with them so let’s see what happens
Yeah RAC guy who was really nice funnily enough met him before a year ago for a flat tyre recommended that I get a booster back, said the best brand is NocoBoost but electric cars don’t need the most power, he said “it’s like turning on a laptop” compared to diesels etc
So it just needed a jump start, no idea why as I always turn off the car and lock it so nothings left on
“Rachel Reeves is set to target the Motability scheme
– Remove tax breaks at the Budget to save around £1bn
– Examining options to restrict eligibility and remove luxury vehicles, like BMWs“could be the reason motability have made these new additions a stupid price
The phev sportage doesn’t come with a granny charger. A family member just got one and had to buy one on Amazon
The Santa Fe but in the spec above for 2k less loool
Thanks everyone for all the useful info and tips, I’ve passed it all on and they’ve decided to order today, thanks again
we pick up ours next week after a whole faff with appaling service from volvo. it reminds me a bit of our older model Q7 we used to have and i quite like that its not too modern looking and looking like every other car on the road.
post pictures if that’s alright, enjoy your new car!
Enjoy! It’s a great car, so great that we ended up getting two😂 mums got the same colour as yours in the smaller battery, such a nice colour that changes in the sun/night time from green to purple
and ours in warm silver with the blue leather interior in the bigger battery
Heres a photo released by them, high wheel arches and no rear window?

Thanks guys! Really been enjoying it

Maybe it was the boosted Covid gcb, honestly can’t remember, memory is poor these days
the current 750 is a payment from mota that I think ends on Jan 3rd keep in mind it was meant to end last December but they extended it for a year, I think it’ll either be extended again or cars will magically go down 750
the extra 750 is via the Nissan in aldershot who matches the NVP from mota, call your local Nissans and ask if they can match the deal
£4000 was exactly my budget, we just ordered the bigger battery Ariya for £3999 750 from mota, 750 from Nissan, 250 GCB
Mums had one for a year so we are used to it and love it, there’s a few in stock in the Sunderland dock in all sorts of colours / trims
Yeah it’d be complicated, I went to a Aston Barclay car auction recently and most the cars there were cancelled motability leases
yes I’d love to see used cars on here too, more choice the better
see I knew I forgot one, we also test drove the x trail @kezo my dad found the x trail / kodiaq uncomfortable and I read the e5008 seats have science behind the comfortably so maybe that’s why he preferred that, but he’s happy with the Ariya too
Glosguy im afraid that after having the Ariya with its many many features (just like your Tucson) the headache will be worse in 3 years time as they’re full of features just like the auto hold that could become “must haves” in future cars
I’ve never looked into private @GlosGuy, my first ever car was a motability car 11 years ago, don’t know what my insurance would be on a car living in central London, I know mota can give you a letter saying you haven’t made a claim
im a carer for 3 people in my household and 4 if including mum who I part care for if needed which recently has been a lot, motability saves me the headache I see my friends go through with private cars, if I did ever go private I’d want something like an x4/6 x5 (maybe the ix3 new version will be on the scheme in the future loool) I can afford a 10/15k down payment then 310 monthly I guess but I don’t know what that’ll get me I’ve never looked into it
Something else I forgot mention is the cars we test drove but didn’t suit our needs, family of 5, 3 of the 5 having disabilities
ioniq 5, Tucson, enyaq, ev6, kodiaq, Tiguan, ix1/2, I’m sure I’m forgetting one or two
Sorry if this questions been answered before but thinking about getting an e5008, have a test drive next week, are all the paints included or are some extra?
Update: my friend was told no twice so I gave it a go, got there in the end but dealer said he’d have to do it in person in the dealership, I’m sure this isn’t the case but at least it’ll get done
Thanks guys I’ll pass this information on to him, hopefully it’s sorted soon, I mean worst case if they won’t budge canceling and re ordering still saves him £500 if they keep the other £500 deposit but hopefully it doesn’t come to that
We currently have a Q3 black edition, due to order. It’s between the Ariya (only thing with that is my mum has one and I drive it too when she needs me to so would be nice to get something different even tho the Ariya does tick all our boxes) and the e5008 GT, only thing I’ll add to it is a sunroof. This thread makes my confidence in Peugeot low. We had a 3008 before the Audi but that had a screen fault which meant we couldn’t control the aircon / maps etc. decisions decisions
Now on scheme starts from £3999, thoughts?
As for BMW prices I’m hoping that the X1 phev comes on the scheme for a lower price than the ix1, if not then for the ix1 price to drop but I doubt that’ll happen as someone’s mentioned they’ve met their targets
