A lot of EV,s can ve prone to that problem, keeping the 12v battery topped up.

I had a similar problem when the car would not go into drive. The RAC said 5 hours for the breakdown truck. Went away had a greggs. Then back to the car and it was ok.

The garage said it was probably the 12v battery low.

So I have a booster pack, cheapo from lidl. It sits in the frunk just in case.  Its not done it since and i.ve only used the booster pack to start my neighbours petrol car when she had a flat battery.

My Ariya did the same. RAC replaced the 12v battery (at some ridiculous price). It took them 3 visits as alarm kept going off. Temperature control/ heated seats etc not been the same since.

Amusingly, the 12v battery in mine died while it was in for its second service nearly a year ago haha. They found out when it wouldn’t let them do a software update.

A case of the powers that be actually doing me a solid while having a sense of humour, as they just fixed it whilst it was there.

Other than that, it’s basically been perfect the entire time I’ve had it, I’m gonna be sad to see it go in April :(.. cos of the stupid ‘no extensions’ nonsense. Really glad I paid nearly 7k AP 😑

Yeah RAC guy who was really nice funnily enough met him before a year ago for a flat tyre recommended that I get a booster back, said the best brand is NocoBoost but electric cars don’t need the most power, he said “it’s like turning on a laptop” compared to diesels etc

It’s happened to my Ariya quite a few times, if it happens again just disconnect your battery for a minute or two then re-connect. That was on advice from the RAC guy who came out a few times, so now I keep a spanner in the boot, it’s worked every time so far.

I’m  usually quite sad when a car goes back but not with this Ariya. It’s had so many electrical issues.

Happened in my old Kona and was discussed on here by a few members. If I remember the general consensus was that the batteries being supplied with new cars were of low quality and those of us who had a replacement battery (better quality) from RAC never had the problem again. I know I didn’t.

Not had that issue in my Ariya but I did experience it on a 24 hour Test Drive with a Toyota BZ4x and fortunately my son in law had a booster pack that got the damn thing started.

It’s broken down again, luckily this time in the drive way, rac on their way again, I called Nissan to try book an appointment, next one available 22nd of Jan lol. Currently in an appointment when I finis I’ll try other Nissan dealerships if they’re all far then it’s time to have a word with motability, I did log the first breakdown with them so let’s see what happens

I seriously think you need to be speaking to the Service manager at your dealer or even the Dealer principle about this. I had a couple of issues with stop/start and my AC with my Qashqai and once the service manager was involved things moved a lot more quickly and they got the issue sorted out. Had they not been able to solve it, they even offered me an early move to a new car.
