Have you thought about a Sharan or is that too big. The Sharan has passed WLTP

Oh dear. I guess it must be quite a bit longer than a golf. If you choice of car is down to its physical size that is a bit of a bummer.
So where does this leave you? Looking at the rumours for Q4 it is not looking too good but we will see midnight tomorrow night when we can see the new list.
I hope you get round the situation somehow.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusI ordered my 2.0TDi 150 SEL DSG 4Motion on 2nd July and it arrived at my dealer on Tuesday.
Although there are a lot of 2.0TDi 150 Tiguns in dealers at the moment the earliest possible registration date is the 29th Oct due to obtain codes ref to WLTP. I got to see my Tiguan yesterday and took it out for a drive. So just got to sit tight for anoth 5 weeks.

It will get the new 1.5TSi which gives the same BHP but it should be better mpg.
Chris if you are reading this. I was in my dealer looking over my Tiguan yesterday and we discussed the 1.5TSi and he was saying that the Tiguan 1.5TSi starts beginning of next year so I wonder if they are waiting on the 150 BHP 1.5TSi engine. As both the Tiguan and Touran use the same production line.

That is ludicrous. I know they are only starting to run the 190 down the production line this week. Its the 150 that have been coming through as mine is in the dealer but still not available till the end of October at the earliest.

I hope I am wrong and your car will be here.
Your link to the VW WlTP list shows which models have variants which are WLTP approved, if you download as suggested in that link you will see the pricelist for 2018 and 2019 in the 2019 you will see a new column for WLTP and its only the 1.6TDi which has a marker for WLTP all the others are TBC.
How did you contact them? Phone or live chat?

The AP is paid upon handover of vehicle, there are some dealers that ask for a deposit. I have never paid a deposit but reading some post’s on here I see that some have. I think its more the minority that pay deposits.
If you are not happy about paying a deposit you can go to any dealer.

Hope you had a lovely time on the Isle og Wight. I know that crossing very very as when I was knee high to a grasshopper we went on that ferry twice a year as my grandparents lived in Totland. I went back over there in 2012 and it had not changed. It was like stepping back in time.
Yes I have jumped ship and on to the Weser Highway. Like you say I was thinking Brexit and if the unconfirmed week I had of 2nd week in January if it stretched out any longer it got near to the date we leave the EU with a possible no deal god only knows what will happen then.
I think the Mitsubishi is a good motor. I looked over the diesel 3 years ago. At the time the wife had a Tiguan and between the 2 I do prefer the Tiggy. The Touran was looking really bad as regards wait time. I think I have mentioned this before that my dealer has had one on order from February and still is not built, it has a build week in November. Q4 will be interesting to see what is on there. My change over date is not until the 26th October but by the sounds of it I won’t get my Tiguan then as it still has issues as regards WLTP certification. The dealer has to store until such time and reading on a Tiguan forum that is looking like late November early December but knowing the car is built and sitting 2 miles away from is a bonus.
Best of luck which ever you decide.
Dave

Well I know my dealer has a Touran that was ordered in February and has a similar build week to yours. The Touran I had ordered was an unconfirmed week 2 2019. I can see that getting pushed back even further.
I have moved away from the Touran now and I am back to my original order which is a Tiguan. It is currently on the Weser Highway. It was supposed to have docked at Grimsby at 18.00 last night but it never made in to dock. Instead it anchored in the middle of the Humber Estuary for 9 hours and is now going south around the eastern side of the UK. So not exactly sure what is going on but probably has something to do with the high winds we had up here on Humberside last night.

I agree it is a pain having to download it all the time. Saying that I have noticed each time they update the pricelist the description is slightly different. Knowing VW they won’t do that again.
As regards to the Touran I wonder if any 1.5 TSi DSG have come off the line yet?

Thank you for your interest in our moans and groans about VW.
I believe VW know they still have the market even after “dieselgate” and with the WLTP delays also I believe they make good cars hence me hanging on in there.
I also follow the progress of the Tiguan as both the Tiguan and Touran are built at Wolfsburg.

I have just been looking at the Seat Leon pricelist and all Leons have Euro6D Temp except for the 2.0 TDi and the 2.0 TSi and that pricelist is dated 9/2018 so the article must be out of date. The Ateca pricelist dated 8/2018 has the 1.0 TSi and the 1.6 TDi passed all others are TBC.
Its a nightmare to keep up with it all. You have to look everywhere and when you do you get conflicts like you say. I would have thought the Seat pricelists are the one to believe. I am always downloading the Touran pricelist to see if that has been updated but they are still on the 16/8/2018 pricelist which only has the 1.6TDi type approved. Reading another forum there are rumours they are about to update further vehicles which have passed but seeing is believing.

I think they would prefer that to what they stand to lose in court with compensation over dieselgate. It is an estimated 29 billion Euros.
As long as they get our cars built before have to pay out.
This is quite an interesting read https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/motoring/these-are-the-cars-affected-by-wltp/

p.s. I see Audi have 3 A3 1.5 TSi with type approval

That’s great news. I have been reading some German press and the Wolfsburg production line for a week at the start of October.
As regards my post the one above your last post on this topic. As I got a duff response from VW UK I sent it on to VW Germany and I got an even worse response from them. They just said all manufacturers were in the same boat over WLTP. Obviously they did not read my email as I sent a link of the ADAC site and they would see that all other manufacturers are miles ahead. The thing that got me in their response was this paragraph.
“In view of the above and since the delay in delivery is, as you can see, due to force majeure, we
kindly request your understanding that a demand for financial compensation cannot be
considered in such cases.”Within my email I made no reference whatsoever of any form of compensation. Like I said i don’t think they read it but are sending copies of same letter to all complaints.
I give in with them.

My sources believe that the Tiguan will be a lower AP. Cannot see it somehow knowing that they have thousands sat around waiting to be type approved.

That is interesting that your’s is still showing 1.2. Obviously they plan on keeping that engine a little longer.
Hi Chris.
That is right about the Wolfsburg plant closing down. It was reported that they would stop production 1 or 2 times a week so as to concentrate on getting cars through the test benches.
I also read a couple of days ago that the plant will be shut for a week at the start of October. In the same articale it was praising their workers for working an extra 35 hours so as to get a lot more vehicles out before the 1st Sept as their sales were up by 6.5% for August. It beggars belief what is really going on.
It is weird with you not being able to open the ADAC page. I am with Kingston Communications and I have no problem here.
