I worked for the RAC for 21 years. Unfortunately it is a plc so once again shareholders need their dividends before people need to be rescued. It is amazing that it has still got the Motability contract. Things must have slipped even further. Motability were once incident managed, not sure if they still are but it looks as if they might have let things go completely.

Sorry to hear the news mate, as I said a little while ago I thought the 1.2 would go and be replaced with the 1.0 like the 1.4 has been replaced with the 1.5. I heard somewhere else that White Silver was being dropped. I am glad I got my Tiguan in it. It is a great colour.
The Seat Tarraco might be worth the wait. I hope you get something you like.

You know I had a Touran SEL 1.5TSi DSG on order. I have changed that and I have now got a Tiguan which I collected last Friday.
Anyway the dealer still has the Touran on order and it’s been given a confirmed build week of the 12th Nov. The original order was on 22nd Aug.
So they are starting to put them through. The one I ordered had no options on it.

I pick up my car in the morning. So not long no. I have popped in from time to time on here but it has generally been quiet on here also. I have been on a VW Tiguan forum quite a lot. As the 2.0TDi 150HP Tiguan’s are now getting delivered to customers.

It is totally wrong now that you have to contact the dealer for updates. Their App or online tracking is inaccurate and up to a week behind. WLTP has got the better of VW and they are not willing to apologise to anyone for it.
I was fortunate and went back to my original order of the Tiguan and I collect it on Friday.
Good to hear your collecting on Tuesday Chris. It is a real shame about the Touran. It is a car that has everything but VW have cocked up and must be losing out on many sales. They have already stated their sales in Europe was down 49% for September as well as downward sales Globally.
Craig, I hope you get sorted out very soon.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusI and I should think quite a few people that have had 2.0TDi 150 Tiguan’s on order are jumping with joy knowing that the Tiguans that have sitting in dealers and docks for the past 3 weeks are now able to be registered and delivered to customers. It was a wait not only for it getting built for quite a few but also waiting on codes so as to get registered. Well all codes are now in and some happy Tiguan owners.

You are right though. How on earth did it get to this. They knew about this nearly 2 years ago as the first stage of WLTP was implemented on 1st Sept 2017.

I went for the SEL 2.0TDi 150 4 Motion DSG in White Silver. I cannot pick it up till the 26th as that is my renewal date but its good that it is here for that date unlike some unfortunate people that are still waiting after 6/7 months and some will be longer with waiting for the 190 diesel and the 2.0 TSi.
I think there are a few on here that have cars currently in dealerships. So happy motoring to them all.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusSnap. That is what she has got in white and she loves it. I have driven it a couple of times and I think its a great little car. The engine is smooth especially through the 7 speed DSG. I am just waiting for my Tiguan to be released from the dealer.

Good to hear you are enjoying your CX-5.
As regards the Touran, well the dealer has nothing to say as VW are not telling them what’s happening and they are most likely embarrassed by the events. I had a Touran on order along with ChrisK and Craig. I am sure Chris will comment about his own frustrations but after I had contacted VW UK and got absolutely nowhere and I mean nowhere as even the person I spoke told me I knew more about what is happening with VW than she did. So I decided to jump ship. I went for a Tiguan and it is currently sitting at my VW dealer awaiting codes so the vehicle can be registered and we have been informed that this will be in week 44 (29th Oct).
Obviously there is something wrong in getting hold of the 1.5TSi SEL DSG and probably that is why Motabilty has dropped it in Q4. When I dropped my order for the Touran its unconfirmed build week was week 2 2019.
I currently have a Sharan and if your father wants nothing to techi then the Sharan is a good vehicle. I personally find it comfortable and it is a good drive.
I hope everything goes well for parents in their task of finding a vehicle they like and with not such a long lead time.

The Highline here is like our SEL. The specs between them are different.
I am not sure if you are aware but this forum is used by people that lease their cars through a scheme called Motaility in the UK. It is a scheme for disabled people.
You are most welcome to post but you might find some discussions about the scheme which you may well not understand.

When I looked at the diesel Outlander 3 years ago I liked it then. The only thing I was not to keen on was the torque converter gearbox. I love the VW DSG and especially the 7 speed version. I find there is a great difference between the 6 speed and the 7 speed. The & speed is smoother and more responsive. So getting the Tiguan is good for me.
It is a shame the Touran is a bit of a pain as regards delivery. I cannot believe the Tiguan took 12 weeks from order to being delivered to the dealer.
