Wow, you got the 1st part right and I think the second too if we look at how the draw panned out. Any prediction for the winners ?
Perhaps Japan and Mexico will despatch Belgium and Brazil and really open things up!
This was an issue in q2. Cars were and continue to be advertised as available on the price list(mainly, but not exclusively VAG) where they cannot actually be ordered in reality. In some cases just a handful of stock cars are available and are usually fitted with an array of expensive options. It gives the illusion of greater choice this quarter (2541 cars) whereas the reality is somewhat different. We have seen posts where choices have diminished due to the withdrawal of certain engines and trims and these often tend to be higher spec diesel cars. I expect Motability to review its price and AP’s limits upwards for 2019. I would be interested what % of cars are sold with AP’s of £2500 or more?
I think Motability need to look at this issue. BHP is a strange measuring tool as it’s the cars torque (generally) which determines it’s acceleration. A 5bhp increase would include a few more cars.
Agreed, an interesting addition. Not for many, but a fast car with high equipment levels and a little different. The surprise of the quarter?
I would also question if the 1.4Tsi models are actually available. I see Motability are still listing a selection of 1.4tsi Kodiaq’s which were not available to order in April. On 1st glance the Karoq AP’s have come down to £795 for the SEL and the CX5 can be had for £1499. Anyone looking to order should also be mindful of build times and actual car availability.
Perhaps Russia and Denmark will progress tomorrow. Come Friday will be cheering along with those in Montevideo and Fray Bentos. Au revoir le France.
Very exciting start to the knockout’s. I have a feeling Uruguay v Portugal will be a cagier encounter with more cards than goals and I predict at least one red one.
I can recall all world cups since 1970. This has been one of the best. Let’s hope the knockout games live up to our expectations. Probably half a dozen potential winners. Another world cup next year on British soil too. Howzat.
I see the X1 petrol I ordered has gone up £100, but the diesel is up £350. Trend seems to be upward generally which is no surprise. Think motability will have to look at increasing the AP limits again next year.
Nice car
Seat leon.
Nice to see some prices filtering through. Dacia.
Lot of rumours as is always the case at this time. Logic would dictate an upward trend in AP’s, particularly diesels with questions over future values and possibly a few cars dropping out due to exceeding the £3k /3.75k limits. I would also expect a modest fall in the overall choice and slightly diminished offerings within model ranges. Just my take.
Just had a quick look at Motability’s price list, just 2384 cars and 896 auto’s. Down around 100 cars in a fortnight.
Last quarter all prices were kept firmly under wraps until the 29th March if my memory serves me correctly. There will be lots of rumours, speculation and made up stories over the next 7 days but its likely to be this time next week before we hear anything concrete. I am not anticipating any major changes in July, perhaps a slight uplift in some AP’s as car prices have risen over the past 3 months and possibly a few cars dropping off where the sums no longer add up.
Good effort from Japan. More of the fancied teams dropping points. A more open tournament than I expected. A better tournament too, to date.
Fully agree with this post.
Down the gate.
I was ready to order a Kodiaq, just one problem the only engine available in SEL trim was the 2 litre tsi which on paper looked too thirsty.
If it was under £35k on 1st Jan 2018, subsequent price rises will not affect its eligibility to remain on the scheme for the remainder of 2018.
As we have found with VW and Mercedes, they “cheat”. Perhaps this is why they are so successful at football too!!!!
An underwhelming start to the tournament. The Spain v Portugal game aside, very average games. When FIFA expand to 48 teams and 80 games I expect more of the same until we get to the last 16 when we get some big clashes. I think 48 teams is a mistake. More money as more games but less real football.
When you have a “monopoly” this is often what happens. Despite its faults, I cannot find anywhere which offers the same value for money on a 3 year lease, albeit I think some changes should be made to slim down its operating costs. If large surpluses are made these should be returned to us as a “dividend” at the end of our lease.
I have to agree they bear an uncanny resemblance. Having test driven a Kodiaq, we saw a Q7 later that day in a car park and could hardly tell the difference from a short distance.
