What do the dealers do with them I wonder?
Yep. PIP might go up £7 a week with inflation next year so Motability will benefit from all cars that cost full allowance. However cars that cost less than full allowance – the customer benefits from the theoretical £7/week
Thanks both
Kezo
Our Picanto has the traditional 4 speed traditional automatic box. Super to drive and smooth – poor fuel consumption always under 40mpg – not a problem for us. New i10 and Picanto after 2020 have automated manual – good for mpg and emissions but everyone hates driving them or so it seems.
Aygo X beckoning at the moment – perhaps a purchase – cheapest pure in white would be OK if wheelchair fits in sure wife will !!Will give it a look.
Sandero very wide for car class 1848mm – same as Audi A4! with turning circle 10.4m
Can’t go much bigger than Picanto with width 1595mm TC 9.4m( i10 or Aygo X would be OK)
P.S.
will have to try both
Hi Myself
Really don’t know what to do. Need a really small automatic car because of very awkward parking space.
Currently have Motability Picanto with traditional automatic and low mileage -fine for needs.
Could order new Motability car in December.
Do I ask to extend lease? That gripes a bit as pay same lease for an older car and will have paid capital cost over 5 years.
or, Buy a Hyundai i10 ( order now, ready April, so garage says)with AMT or Aygo X with CVT ( if boot is big enough)
or, Lease either of these cars on Motability.
Thanks again Chris.
Don’t think many are aware that you can lease a very light wheelchair. As my spouse is ‘small and lightweight’ it means that we only need a small car, wheelchair in boot upright and luggage, if required, on backseat.Chris
Motability website says“Can I keep the wheelchair at the end of my lease?
No. The wheelchair is leased in the same way as your Scheme car. You need to return it with your car at the end of your lease.”
I would hope that I could keep til end of car lease extension with no charge?
