I get you. I’m the same, I always thought of it as a trait of OCD though. When I commit to something I study it as much as possible, quite the perfectionist. No harm in doing it.
This delivery time for my Enyaq is taking a while. The dealership estimated it would be here by the end of may (3-4 weeks from the time of order) but when I ring up to query it’s status they say it’s still in the port of exit in Germany. I ordered a prebuilt car that was ready to be shipped. Anyone else waiting for shipment?

Skoda are apparently changing battery suppliers. Could that mean new capacity options will become available once the current stock has been used up?
Had no issues with my local Kwikfit. They came out the following day to where I was parked and changed the tyre within 15 minutes.
A friend has the tavascan V2, he loves it. The only thing he dislikes is the brakes and that the charging tech is not as good as the Enyaq.
There’s an offer by the JCB group on the tavascan maybe it’s worth asking local dealers to try offer similar?
“CUPRA Tavascan 210kW V1 77KWh 5-door Automatic
Normally £2,495 Advance Payment, but at JCB CUPRA you pay £999 Advance Payment!
Saving you £1,496
CUPRA Tavascan 210kW V1 77kWh 5-door Automatic with Winter Pack fitted
Normally £3,495 Advance Payment, but at JCB CUPRA you pay £1,899 Advance Payment!
Saving you £1,596this offer is only available on cars ordered by 30th June 2025 and handed over by 30th September 2025.”
Finally.. Estate Sportline 85x in race blue ordered!
Congrats, I’m from near manchester and really interested in the £500 Enyaq offer. My local dealer refused but I’ll keep phoning around. I currently have a Mokka but the rear seat leg room is insanely cramped and the boot space just isn’t practical. The Enyaq looks a much more practical choice especially with a lot of urban driving.
PS: Which colour did you choose? I’m on the fence between race blue, grey and black.

April 11, 2025 at 8:23 am in reply to: Motability Deals & Special Offers – Q2 2025 (1st April 2025 to 30th June 2025) #304139Arnold Clark Kia/MG Sefton Street, Liverpool – Offered £NIL AP for the [manual only] MG HS trophy spec usually £999. Won’t budge on auto or PHEV AP though.
[Source: From visiting the dealership]I’m experiencing the same issue. Although the dealer reduced the cost to within 50% of the grant when I covered the remaining amount myself, they still won’t allow it because the Motability advanced payment exceeds the grant value plus 50%. They mentioned that a change last year now prevents them from approving such discounts or dealership deals.
When they refund the advanced payment. Does that also include the £750 new vehicle payment that motability paid towards the AP too? Or just the cash that you paid towards it?
