Last quarter was very confusing to follow as there were 3 or 4 different threads on the go all with different information regarding the new quarters prices. Hopefully, everyone will agree that it makes far more sense to have just one thread with this information, so I thought I would start this one.
So please post any confirmed prices (rather than rumours, speculation or wish lists) on this thread. Thanks!

All paint options are included in the AP with Renault, they don’t charge extra like other manufacturers š
July 1, 2024 at 3:07 pm #283583Good to know. I’ll be putting a call in to them then. Looks to be a cracking deal in what’s looks to be a very poor quarter.
July 1, 2024 at 4:07 pm #283589As the originator of this thread, can I thank everyone who has posted links to the official manufacturer price lists so far. We have 9 different manufacturers so far – please keep them coming if you find them. It has certainly been much easier to follow this quarter with them all being in one thread rather than 3 or 4 as happened last time.
Has anyone found the Hyundai price list yet? According to the Motability website (which is notoriously rubbish) the Tucson prices and model availability remain unchanged, but Iād like to see the official Hyundai Motability price list to check, and all I keep getting on the Hyundai website is the last quarter price list.

As you say Hyundai price list still remains at Q2.
Hyundai use to be one of the first to display prices prior to the next quarter.
July 1, 2024 at 4:33 pm #283593Just spoke to my local Renault dealer who spent 30 minutes trying to get through to Motability. There was a big error whilst uploading the new prices so various models from different manufacturers did not make the new list, they are doing another upload tonight so should be more models on tomorrow

Thanks for the info. This is why the manufacturer price lists are so important. We just canāt rely on the Motabilty website on quarter change day. Hopefully those who questioned the worth of this thread can now see why it was needed.

July 1, 2024 at 5:35 pm #283599Something isn’t right here. I was told from notability that they negotiate prices with principal dealers (manufacturers) but to see that basically all prices have gone up cant be a coincidence. Ā They must have done this to either pay for higher maintenance fees or insurance fees that are part of the agreements we have. As an electric convert, I am worried to see the increases as it’s yet another prohibitive barrier for those who are on the fence or unconvinced that electric is the way forward.
Kia, Alfa, Mini, Mercedes, Vauxhall, Honda and Mazda have a max AP of 7999 for certain models- its the ceiling for a motability car and ive never seen so many at it.
BMW, Toyota and Audi follow  a few £ close behind with Peugeot, Suzuki, Renault and Hyundai following them up.
It seems that whilst they are providing choice this quarter, they are discouraging the higher specifications within the ranges.

Thanks GG for this and the thread.
Can I ask a stupid question? All the VW models on there have an AP, but no “weekly rental” fees. I’m assuming that’s a VW mistake, rather than we can get a brand new VW and keep our mobility payments?July 1, 2024 at 5:41 pm #283601At last I have found an official Q3 price list ā Volkswagen. No stupid questions on here! The vast majority of cars are what they term āfull allowanceā, which means that you sacrifice your full weekly enhanced mobility element of PIP (or equivalent) plus pay the quoted AP. Some small runabout type cars are less than the full weekly allowance, so you pay no AP and may get a small amount of benefit payment as well. If there is no weekly figure quoted, the car is almost certainly full allowance, so the cost to you is your full allowance over 3 years (Ā£12k?) plus the AP. Hope that makes sense?

Thanks GG for laying that out but wanted to ask as this is the first time I’ve seen Ā£0.00 in the weekly rental box instead of: ‘weekly Mobility payment’, etc. They wouldn’t be that daft so was wondering.

I see it differently!
The ZEV mandate for 2024 ends at the end of September. Most manufacturers would have exceeded, met or are (just) below their 2024 target, thanks to leasing companies inc Motability. Those manufacturers that have exceeded their targets no longer have to substantially discount their cars especially for Motability and are probably in a position to carbon credits to other manufacturers (ZEV deal with their buddies), at a lower cost than a manufacturer/s who haven’t met their target would otherwise have lost, if selling to the likes of Motability.
That said, Motability pricing (AP’s) has been false for EV’s, compared to that of the real world where the cost gap for an EV is still far greater than that of an ICE for the same or similar models.

The scheme is effectively over if it carries on like this. But ⦠maybe ⦠that is exactly whatās intended perhaps? Taking it down from inside its very structure. I believe this is what weāre seeing.

If you were to play Motability Bingo, you would choose one of the following:
- Motability are coining it in and are putting up the prices to give everyone a massive bonus
- The AP’s have increased to keep pace with the price increases of new cars
- The cost of new small cars (historically where Motability raised a surplus) has increased at a faster rate than larger cars ‘Europeās five biggest carmakers have raised the prices of their cheapest models by an average of 41% since 2019
- We are all paying for the massive investment in order to make Motability the leader in EV sales, cost of charging points to customers, reducing AP’s on very expensive Electric cars etc.
- Car makers are snookered by fines and legislation and are having to increase prices at a ridiculous rate in order to not go bust.
- The Scheme has grown at its fastest rate ever, the only way to slow the growth is to raise prices
- It’s the Tories – They did it.
- A combination of the above.
