very impressive indeed Mike. Can I about the infotainment screen (the main one in the middle) is it only accessible via touch or do are there buttons we can use to toggle through the menu? For example, if we had google maps open, would I need to physically touch the screen or is there a scroller, like in my current car, that can be used to interact with the software?
The central infotainment screen is a touchscreen , but it is easy to reach, and it does have couple of buttons to press and a volume control/ on,off switch.
As far as using the system for navigation on the central info screen is concerned, you can preload your destinations way points etc by loading them In the comfort of your arm chair, whist watching the tv, by adding them to the Nissan Connect app ,available on your mobile phone, and send it off to your car. The maps/ directions Etc are exactly as if you had entered them directly, and will be waiting for you when you next use the car.
Music can be preloaded on to your phone and then via Apple Play or similar!
hope this helps.
April 4, 2023 at 2:32 pm #217786I got a phone call yesterday to tell me that my QQ e-power tekna has been delayed by 6 weeks.
I’ve been 50-50 on it or the mini JCW for ages, found a dealer with a mini ready to pick up this weekend so I’m going with that!I’m not sure if this means you might be able to get my cancelled QQ due for arrival in June now but if you wanted to try your luck its Westway Manchester

Kind thought 🙂 though I expect will be sold retail or at the best at current q2 AP!
Enjoy your JCW, sadly mrs kezo says its not big enough for our needs lol.

Qwe2Hello all,
Which trim QQ has adaptive cruise control. It’s a must for me. Thanks ?
April 5, 2023 at 1:08 pm #217887My n connecta has it.
April 5, 2023 at 1:43 pm #217899Am I right in saying n connecta has it, tekna has pro pilot (lane keeping?)?
"Come on BYD Seal!"April 5, 2023 at 1:51 pm #217901I collect my QQ Tekna ePower on Tuesday.
I can’t wait to see what MPG I can make it do. I managed to get around 60 mpg in the 1.5 dci QQ, and 70 mpg once. I’ll be trying to see what I get with the same journey and speeds.
I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.April 5, 2023 at 9:17 pm #217982Am I right in saying n connecta has it, tekna has pro pilot (lane keeping?)?

April 6, 2023 at 10:57 am #218081Excellent as usual Mike
Q2 prices were a shock with N connecta now £2849, Tecna £3999!
Well that puts the QQ firmly in the out tray
Yup, my thoughts!
I reckon that i am saving around £100 in fuel for every 1000 miles, over the diesel Tiguan, without really trying, so I will probably pay for the AP from fuel savings over a 36 month contract?

Mike, can you remeber how much was the AP when you ordered and again when you collected. I remember you had extras free and did a deal at the time when AP’s came down, excluding this please 🙂

No problem –
The AP was £ 2700 and came down to £1999 on 1st January.
From the dealership – I managed to get £400 off the £ 2700, which eased the pain, plus a full tank of fuel probably valued at around £100 at 01/01/2023, as well as free Pearlescent paint , normally chargeable at £ 170-250 above the the free metallic paint, plus a free wireless charging plate valued at £150 and a reversible boot carpet/ mat valued at £115.00 Approx – different dealers appear to charge different prices!
The deal was done & ‘signed ‘for on 31/12/2022 before the decrease in AP, so Motability could not reduce my AP, to the lower level, but I am satisfied especially with around £300 savings so far on fuel also.

So both the N-Conecta and Tecna AP’s have risen by £800 this quarter. That alot of money and I hung off ordering hoping the Tecna trim’s AP would lower, n a simla way yours id from q4 -q1.
Ive also had my AP lowered if there was a price redution via the dealer not Mb. However with all the freebies you had, you certainly can’t grumble 🙂
Where in the world did you get your car from, if prices come down it may be worth a trip!
Thank Mike as Always 🙂

Inhad an offer of £250- 400 discount , from Holdcroft in Hanley, who were very helpful and nice guys, but in the end, and on my way to visit with family in Devon, I called in to Exeter. Russell Lemon is ‘ the business’!

Thanks Mike.

btw
I forgot to mention that there is voice recognition, so you can change ‘screens’, ‘navigation ‘, music Etc by just talking to the system- there is a button on the wheel.
it has Siri / google and Alexa and you can communicate / instruct via Alexa in the car to Alexa in your home, turn the heat on, or record a TV program Etc Etc.
no need to stretch to reach the touch screen, just ask it nicely for your wishes??????
June 12, 2023 at 8:03 pm #223440Just an update on the performance of the QQ e Power.
I am not taking photographs of the consumption any longer, as I have nothing to prove to myself on the performance etc, I am more interested in practicality , driving capability, suspension / handling safety Etc.
However, travelling quite regular between Berkshire and Essex ,with Granddaughter ,, who normally lives with us, in drama college in Essex , means that the mileage is rising,, as are the costs?
Driving the M25 North from the Royal county to the Dartford turnoff, meeting long traffic delays , means an increase in. costs, not only in fuel but also , invariably in hotel and meals out costs.
Fuel is running to approximately 56.1 mpg On journeys to Essex with a maximum speed of 74 mpg on cruise with air con set on low and from Essex via M25 South which is Approx a 40 miles longer journey , but much more comfortable a drive,, once again set at 74 mpg but fewer traffic delays, with a/c set at low , the mpg shows 64.4,!
Local running around returns an average mpg of around 53 mpg , but I have discovered that local driving at under 30 mph is returning up to 85 -95 mpg neatly always on battery only, but 5 mph faster means the engine cutting in more!
I run the 18 in tyres at a about 3psi above the recommended psi on the Mways and reduce to normal for local use, and eco mode for most short journeys, but usually travel the motorway in sport mode.
The rear bumper insert on my n connecta is grey like the 2023 Tecna ,not silver and frankly, looks much better, especially with side enhancers.
btw.,I still leave ‘very shocked looking’ speedsters for dead at the traffic lights, until they awake from the shock and catch me up?
The car is sill a bit jumpy and jittery compared to the Tiguan, but has still only done 4800 miles, and i expect it to get better over time, and the 90 degree opening rear doors are a godsend,
June 13, 2023 at 10:44 am #223451Well laid out post and cetainly not a bad choice of car Mike 700.
July 8, 2023 at 7:32 pm #225817
Mike 700Than you Sir,
Just a simple update on fuel consumption on my QQ-
Last Friday we picked up our granddaughter from her digs In Essex( almost from hospital ) and brought her home to Berkshire ,as she had picked up a bug, and was not at all well,
We braved the Friday afternoon M25 north ‘ car park ‘ which to many of us, is a tarmac Armageddon, but to others is a Godsend in terms of getting about a bit.
The return journey was South via the M25 – a much more relaxing ( & safer) but slightly longer route!
The consumption including for a quick stop to load up and a stop at the services both north and south, was 56.5 mpg ,mainly in stop start motoring, but also some good cruising conditions, using a combination of eco and sport drive with cruise used on the return leg.
Yesterday we drove down to Caerphilly to meet up with my son and family who are over from Copenhagen on a tour of the old homeland!
Back just now, with today’s consumption Down slightly, mainly from higher speeds in sport mode , but also not taking any interest in conserving fuel – 51.5 mpg
July 14, 2023 at 6:49 pm #226538Was filling up (yet again!) I was behind a new e-power Qashqai. I asked the lady what she thought of it.
Not very happy was the reply 🙁 Apparently it’s had a massive drop in power while driving along three times. It’s been back to the dealers but they said no fault found.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
July 14, 2023 at 8:27 pm #226549I cant defend a’rogue ‘ car , and they are ‘out there’ of course, together with many from different manufacturers, but in nearly 6000 miles to date, I have not had a moment’s problem, with the e Power Qashqai,, and certainly not a loss of power?
Instant quiet very quick acceleration From rest and overtaking is a doddle.
This is my sixth Datsun/NIssan and I have never experienced any problem with any of them, other than a nipple coming off a clutch pedal cable back in the 70’s,which the AA fixed next day!
July 14, 2023 at 9:15 pm #226552Indeed, I had a couple of Datsuns which were excellent ? mind you my gen2 Qashqai 1.5 diesel ate fuel!, ended up giving it back to Motability and getting a Kuga ?
I was toying with a Tucson hybrid but spent 45mins on their UK forum and some of the horror stories def. put me off! ?

If only they put the Tecna spec QQ or XT on the scheme would be problem solved for me!
I thought the main problems revolved around the Tuscon ICE and mild hybrids?
There’s many UK owners on this forum, plus you get to hear of any problems other markets are having!

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
