Also very disappointed in this. It would have really boosted EV sales for a reasonable AP.
January 1, 2025 at 1:51 pm #295586Totally agree. Very disappointed ☹️ I did hope the Kia EV3 would have been included but it’s still early in the year I suppose 😁.
One car I’m quite interested in is the Cupra born and it’s nice to see it’s come down in price, but five models being removed.
January 1, 2025 at 3:17 pm #295589I was hoping the AP’s on EV’s would come down as an incentive to get a EV. I was hoping the Mercedes EQA AP would come down a bit.
January 1, 2025 at 4:08 pm #295593Guessing that residual values are a significant factor and EVs are currently mostly dire. Also interest rates have gone up- 10 year Gilt over 4.5% and 30 year5%. For the private market, from April the “luxury” road tax will apply to EVs from year 2. Over £40,000 rrp including options like metallic paint. £410 per annum. Starmer says more cash in people’s pockets. Gaslighting.
January 1, 2025 at 5:35 pm #295594Very disappointing that the Škoda Elroq with the Maxx pack has been taken off.
I agree.. Was all set to go and sign up yesterday, but forgot that the closing times are a lot earlier on NYE. So I missed the opportunity and today the Max pack has completely disappeared… Gutted..
January 1, 2025 at 9:39 pm #295607I see the ex30 is now £3999
at £1999 -£750 It was barely an acceptable amount, they are smoking something else if they believe doubling the price is acceptable. Avoid this car at all costs, it’s a disaster. I wish I we never bought it, absolutely comical amount of issues.
January 2, 2025 at 5:16 pm #295667Evening everyone,
Largely disappointing Q1 pricing but the additional taxes for so called expensive EV’s in addition to the average cost of cars, particularly EV’s, continuing to increase everyone including Motability customers are being squeezed financially at the moment. It was to be expected really.
Whilst the 8K AP for something like the top spec Kia EV6 sounds ridiculous it is a 55K car! If you were looking at a private lease with reasonable mileage, including maintenance and insurance I would imagine this would set you back at least £800 pm. As a Motability customer it’s still far cheaper than having to fund this particular car privately.
I’m really not sure what to do for my next car.

January 2, 2025 at 5:35 pm #295669I see the Enyaq prices have went up from £999 AP to £1299 for the 85 Edition.
A general question, if you order at the end of the quarter, ie 31 March, could you then cancel/reorder on 1st April (new quarter prices) if the price has dropped again, or is this not allowed? Would there be any charges or allowed as it’s within 24 hours?
Am sure there must be something stopping this or everyone would be doing it?
January 2, 2025 at 8:05 pm #295675There’s only the one version of the Toyota CHR on the scheme now. We were pretty much set on the PHEV but it’s no longer available.
We’ll be looking at a full EV instead which moves us away from Toyota – and our local dealer has been excellent for us over the last 6 years.January 2, 2025 at 8:41 pm #295677I see the Enyaq prices have went up from £999 AP to £1299 for the 85 Edition. Hey there.
Lots of us have been asking for this question to be a ‘sticky’ as it gets asked so often!
The answer is: It depends on your dealer.
Motability dont like dealers doing it. My previous Skoda dealer didn’t want to do it, but my current Hyundai dealer told me(without asking) that he would cancel and reorder if it was lower.
Just ask your dealer.
January 3, 2025 at 9:07 am #295701I was hoping the AP’s on EV’s would come down as an incentive to get a EV. I was hoping the Mercedes EQA AP would come down a bit.
It dropped from Q3/24 £5999 to Q4/24 £3495 and looks like Q1/25 it remains £3495
We picked ours up and what an upgrade it is – easier to get in and out and feels so much larger in the front and just a far superior experience all round – highly recommended.

Mike ; as with most new quarterly prices, manufacturers will add additional models over the coming days & weeks. I’m pretty sure Toyota will add various C-HR trims & models in the near future. It’s a popular car with both Motability & the general public.
January 3, 2025 at 3:14 pm #295727That’s great news, I am rather hopful for the BZ4X in its AWD guise to make an appearance, else the Subaru Solterra or the rather expensive Lexus RZ450. I would like an EV but it must have AWD due to where I live.

That sounds great !. I currently have a diesel Audi Q2 , I had a Mercedes GLA previously and looking at the EQA now as I need a more higher up car. I might extend my lease as I’m in my ordering window and see if the AP comes down next quarter.
January 7, 2025 at 4:16 pm #295877Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line S came down to 3999 from 5200 last quarter. Still a fair chunk of money but it’s the top spec version and I think a good deal compared to some other AP’s.

I’m interested in taking a closer look at the EQA when it comes to change time, the Ioniq5 is a brilliant car but the relaxation seats that are so comfortable comes in extra packs that puts the Ultimate up to a horrendous point.

To get the equivalent of the Namsan Edition now there needs to be at least 2 packs added, the Zen pack and the Tech Pack Maxx. The end result isn’t available on the scheme and would cost more than £8k.

the Zen and Tech Pack Maxx are for the Ultimate Edition. The N Line S has all those as standard. Only thing missing are the digital side mirrors but I’m happy to stick with traditional ones
