I can order now but I am not in the country until 4th January so will be relying on the next quarter prices – fingers crossed they don’t skyrocket šŸ¤ž

From the Seat website it looks like they have updated their pricing ready for Q1 2025:

Some reductions it seems, albeit Seat don’t produce a full quarterly pdf anymore and tend to use the silly prcing bands.

          Seat 2025 Pricing weblink: https://www.seat.co.uk/motability/seat-motability-prices

If this is their full list, it is a reduction in offered vehicle numbers, Q4 2024 = 55 vehicles, down to 23 for Q1 2025.

The Cupra website also now appear to have updated their price list for Q1 2025 – albeit they don’t produce a pdf version nowadays:

Looks like the scenic techno long range has been replaced by the smaller 67 kw battery and that particular one is £1495 compared to the £995 that the 87kw was priced at.Pretty sure this will be the first time the smaller battery scenic techno has been available on the scheme.

Just noticed Megan E Tec Iconic has gone up from £395 to £895 which still remains a v good AP imo

I Paid £1295 AP 15 months ago and on release in 2022 it was from memory £5000+

Having just skimmed through the Motability Annual Report (posted in another thread) there are several mentions that Advance Payments will be rising, which continues the trend of the last few years. There will always be exceptions, but the overall trend is going to remain upwards.

I can’t see us still being on the scheme when the current lease expires in 2027 if AP’s go up.
We’re loving our Enyaq 85 EV and won’t be going back to ICE. If AP’s go towards Ā£2000 we’ll just buy a new Tesla VAT free and keep it 7 years. May even get a deal with free Supercharging for the life of the car ownership, as currently available with the Model Y.

The criteria for VAT exemption is very strict. It only applies to brand new cars, you have to have permanent adaptations fitted prior to registration and you always had to be a wheelchair user. Criteria may have changed, as they tightened up on it as some people were buying VAT free and then selling at a profit. The info can be found on the HMRC website.

Yep, as Glos Guy says, you need permanent adaptations and a wheelchair user. Mrs Joe ticks the boxes.

And Motability will be factoring in the “new” EV road tax from April 2025.

I have notice a £500 AP increase on the EV vehicle plus the loss of the £750 = £1250 ?

What is happening to Motability, these AP’s will start driving people away from the scheme. I can see Motability only having two types of customer, one Ā will be those entitled to a grant and the other will be those with plenty of cash who are happy to pay Ā£5k AP for a top marque car. It’s getting ridiculous!
