Volkswagen has opened the order books for the revised e-up!, now featuring a range of 159 miles on a charge.
The new version of the pure-electric citycar sees a significant range increase from the previous model’s 83 mile rating. This is primarily because of the new 32.2 kWh battery – up from 18.7 kWh.
This powers a 61 kW electric motor with 212 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-62mph time of 11.9 seconds.
Because of its place within the up! range, the e-up! also benefits from recent equipment boosts, including multifunciton camera with lane assist and smartphone integration cradle.
Heated front seats and windscreen, climate control, automatic wipers, and cruise control are also fitted as standard to the electric up!.
Prices start at £19,695, including Plug-in Car Grant, with orders being taken now.
