there are a few cars that I am hoping come on to the scheme. Notwithstanding the travesty of the Elroq being taken off.
the MG IM5 looks great value at £39,999 for the standard range version.
and also the Xpeng G6 long range looks quite interesting, one must go for the orange metallic paint mind
fingers crossed for me anyway
Cheers, all the very best

The new MG IM5 and IM6 certainly look promising and I hope they do come onto the scheme.

August 28, 2025 at 1:08 pm #311878August 28, 2025 at 1:18 pm #311881Renault 4,5 and Nissan Micra for me.
August 28, 2025 at 1:59 pm #311883The IM’s will be popular if they join the scheme.
August 28, 2025 at 3:16 pm #311888I’d love to see the VW Buzz for under £2k!

That would be somewhat optimistic, even at £6-7k they’re reasonable value.
Im not sure if the IMs will be on scheme just yet, they’re targeting it as a company car, so might be looking at the corporate lease companies but the scheme is bigger and I can see a Tesla lookalike going well on here.

It is a wish list after all!! But you’re right.

August 29, 2025 at 7:38 am #311932wont happen but mini rag top to come down to less than 1k on wpms.
likewise countryman varients.
other than that i am comfortable with my shortlist of:
mini 3dr 2.0s classic.
juke hybrid tekna
qq e-power n-connecta
ariya its electric so charging issues
ioniq 6 its electric so charging issues
yaris cross cabin puts me off
all under 1k so bank balance happy. sensible head says juke or qq. fun factor says mini 3 dr.
just a waiting game now and test drives to sort.
August 29, 2025 at 3:03 pm #311962@mitch that’s an eclectic mix of cars you have there. It’s like you don’t really know what you want!
Skoda Enyaq Race Blue
August 29, 2025 at 3:33 pm #311963A large SUV or MPV that is hybrid and doesnt cost a fortune.
I really liked the skoda enyaq 85x but that has gone and think boot to small, same issue with the Kia sportage.
The Sorrento had a flying visit to the scheme and santa fe
needs a small mortgage for the upfront payment.
The mpv’s are generally electric (terrible range) or have a high ap as well.So that leaves the skoda Kodiak phev hopefully will be avaible end of the year when I renew.
I do love the mobility scheme and not complaining at the scheme, I would be lost without it. But, more the govt push net zero rubish which is bank rupting the country. And causing increase in car costs and policy for the scheme.September 3, 2025 at 6:03 pm #312272The Kia PV5 (won’t be anytime soon though).
September 3, 2025 at 7:41 pm #312275The Kia PV5 (won’t be anytime soon though).
Given that there’s a purpose built WAV, I’d have thought it would be on the scheme as soon as KIA and Motability get their heads together and work out the numbers.

September 4, 2025 at 1:35 am #312283I posted on the wrong post…but..
A big black car approached and passed me today. It was big and turned heads, it wasnt until it had passed, that I saw the badge, it was a Jaecoo 7. Quite an impressive car.
September 4, 2025 at 6:16 am #312284Unfortunately, with the way that the scheme has declined, and the fact that I’m not keen on an EV, there’s not a cat in hells chance that any of the cars that I would describe as being on a ‘wish list’ would ever appear!
The one car that perhaps has an outside chance of appearing that might tempt me is the BMW X1 23i M-Sport. However, as it’s a petrol 4WD SUV with decent performance, that’s now considered by Motability to be the stuff of the devil, so it’s most likely a vain hope!
