My ohme pro is showing offline for last 5 hours now
I tried the power cycling but still not working. Anybody else had this issue and how did they go about sorting it out please?

You have this set to add 30% as above and on a couple of your pic’s on page 1. Surely this should be set much higher to 70-80%! As a test I would change above in the settings to add 70-80% Enable price cap again and set it to never charge over your off peak pence/kWh charging should be initiated between 0030 and o430 during your off peak rates, regardless of when you plug your car in.
Sorry that’s an old photo that i sent. See my latest pic i sent above. I’ve had it set to 80% since Friday evening

So everything you just recommended I’ve already done. Had it setup like you suggest since Friday evening and it still only giving me an 8% charge
March 24, 2024 at 3:28 pm #269191The problem with Ohme chargers is they are geared up handling variable tariffs such as Octopus’s intelligent tariffs, rather than more simple 2 rate tariffs, which you have with Octopus Go. Ohmes app therefore could do with a more bog standard timer facility to allow timed charging between 00:30 and 04:30 or what ever it maybe.
Ohmes gets roud this in a roundabout way by allowing you to set a charge schedule up, to charge your car to x% by 04:30 and setting the “the never charge above” to your off peak rate, defined by your GO tariff, effectively telling the charger only to charge the care during your off peak hours. That effectively is a timer for those of peak hours and a crap oneat that, essentially makeing the charger dumb.
If you have no luck with my last post, it is probably better to to set the Ohme Pro up as a dumb charger (charges when the car is plugged in) and use your cars charging settings to control when the car charges and to what charge % you want.
The Ohme Pro will be in “contant on” state but your car charge scheduling takes control, meaning the Ohme charger will only charge when the car asks for it. For example plug the car in at 18:00 but, the car won’t tell it to charge untill between 00:30 and o4:30.
Set your car settings to charge between 00:30 and 04:30 up to a maximum of 80% charge (or what suits), if the 4 hour window isn’t enough to get to 80% it charges to what it can in that four hour window and then stops charging.
To do this delete all schedules and set everything other than “push notifications” on Ohme app to OFF and set you car up to charge in the time window.

Ok i shall give that a try. Do i need to access them settings in the car or can it be done through the app?
My car is only on 19% battery now so i just removed my schedule on ohme app and removed price cap and put on a max charge but after 15mins it still says 19% charge on the car
See my car app photo saying 1kwh

just had it plugged in 30mins max charging and its charged 1% in 30mins. So that makes sense as i get 4hrs at night and get an 8% charge
Just had notification on phone from ohme app saying charging error – your car is charging slower than normal

Clearly not right 8% in 4hrs is it but, at least Ohme is recognising a charging error due to the slow speed.
In this case I’d leave my previos suggestion and get on the phone to Ohme tomorrow as there is clearly an issue. You can always use your car to set charging at a later date.
When you boil the kettle does the CT clamp reading in Ohme app – advanced settings rise to about 13A?
March 24, 2024 at 4:53 pm #269197What car do you have and are you sure there is no schedules active with the car currently?
March 24, 2024 at 5:08 pm #269198What car do you have and are you sure there is no schedules active with the car currently?
it’s the skoda enyaq coupe 85x
March 24, 2024 at 5:10 pm #269199Having to use a fast charge at my local tesco at a podpoint and it’s charging fine. Was trying to see if it was maybe an issue with the car you see
March 24, 2024 at 5:18 pm #269200There is no harm setting up schedules on your Enyak app and using this app once youve turned the Ohme charger dumb as above.
I’ll be interested if your CT clamp reading in your Ohme app shoots up when you boil the kettle say.

How do i set a schedule to charge on the skoda app? I can’t see anything on the app of skoda to set a schedule
Also please see the message i just received when plugging back into the ohme charger just now
March 24, 2024 at 6:26 pm #269207Skoda app saying its not plugged in even though cable is currently plugged in to charge
March 24, 2024 at 6:52 pm #269210If you can’t set schedules on the Skoda app, it would have to be from the car itself check the manual @Phaedra
Have you got a granny charger, you can use to ccharge the car from a 3 pin socket?
Some weird messages your getting – communication issues.

Very basic what you can do through the car, basically just about setting a target amount to charge so 80% preferably
Definitely some weird messages, i will contact ohme again tomorrow.
I’ll attempt the 3pin socket charge but definitely an issue i think from the ohme charger
Check this
Its my 12.30am-4.30am charge last night which it did stick too but I’ve never got more than 8% charge out of this ohme charger since using it from the Friday just gone and i plugged it in every night

March 24, 2024 at 7:13 pm #269216I don’t know if this is any help or whether you need to set a location (home) for it to charge faster.
March 24, 2024 at 8:02 pm #269223Just tried this and i added my home address as a charging location through the settings in the car and it’s definitely charging faster now
Think it’s just done about 4% in the space of 15mins or so. That’s a considerable improvement as i was previously getting 4% charge in 2hrs ?
March 24, 2024 at 8:05 pm #269224I did set a schedule through the car too for 12.30am-4.30am but I’ll try that tomorrow now because i just wanted to get a good charge on the car now as its only on 25%
Hopefully this has done the trick so thank you for your help
I’ll update how its charged up too in the morning and also I’ll update on what happens once a set the schedule through the car and the app tomorrow evening ?
March 24, 2024 at 8:15 pm #269225Thats good news I hope 🙂
You now need to set Ohme to only charge during the 4 hours cheap rate window by setting the price cap and turning it on in the app, with a finished/departure time of say 4.30am.
Or set the car up to act as a timer, as described above.
You only need to adjust the schedule departure for tonight as a test. You can test a timer schedule doing it via the car tomorrow night if you wish a pick which one best suits you.
Fingers crossed for in the morning.
March 24, 2024 at 8:17 pm #269226Thanks kezo
You been more helpful than ohme themselves ?
March 24, 2024 at 8:55 pm #269228Appologies formaking sound I don’t read all your replies but, I have 10 things on the go by the time I post a reply, you have sneaked another in which I miss lol.
I’m hoping having 2 schedules set (Ohme and car) doesn’t cause a conflict overnight, but we will see tomorrow, hopefully with good news.
Happy to help 🙂
March 24, 2024 at 9:01 pm #269231No problem at all. I have posted quite a bit on here in the last few days so that’s understandable that you may miss some of them ?
Do you think i should just set one schedule so the car or the charger?
So i can set the car schedule 12.30-4.30 and no need to set a schedule on the ohme app? Just set the price cap to 9p kwh on the ohme app yes?
March 24, 2024 at 9:12 pm #269232It may work though as technically your setting Ohme up for price cap which are the same time as you set car!
I’d be inclined to leave it and see, unless you need the range tomorrow, in which case is it easier to delete turn off all scheduleing and settings off except Push which should be on as said earlier or delete from car and set price cap to on on Ohme app.
March 24, 2024 at 9:28 pm #269233Ye i need the range for tomorrow so I’ve turned off all schedules and just left it charging, it’s already on 50% from about 25% so it’s working a treat compared to previously
Going to fully charge to 80 then tomorrow evening i’ll switch price cap back on on ohme and set a schedule back on and see how it works like that

March 24, 2024 at 9:39 pm #269236Sound like a plan setting up aschedule with price cap on tomorrory. You can always try it through the car another day, at least if only for a backup plan at any point.
March 25, 2024 at 9:12 am #269251Fully charged to 80%
I even stopped the charge at 8pm at 50% and then set a schedule for the Octopus go hours and it charged from 50-80 during them hours. So finally it’s working as it should ?
