My ohme pro is showing offline for last 5 hours now
I tried the power cycling but still not working. Anybody else had this issue and how did they go about sorting it out please?

Cant see anything on my charge sessions indicating that it charged overnight during the times i set on the schedule
Am i doing something wrong?
March 22, 2024 at 8:40 am #268987I’ve just had a look at my charge sessions and the times they have chosen to charge out of off peak are adjusted and charged at 7.5p pkwh I’m new to this so I can only tell you what’s happening with my readings and everything I say isn’t fact, just my unexperienced opinion. Are you on Octopus intelligent and is your car recognised by Octopus? It seems strange that if you calculate your cost per kwh the reduction hasn’t been accounted for. Hopefully others on the forum with more knowledge than me will be able to help, also there is an Ohme Facebook page that you may find useful, I’m not on Facebook but others have said it’s helpful
March 22, 2024 at 9:15 am #268989Second time having a charging problem. Using Ohme App with Octopus so usually no problems.
Wednesday night car was at 79%, I set it to charge to 100% as I was going away very early the next morning.
Checked the car was set to allow 100%, checked the Ohme App a few times after 11:30 and it said it was charging and completed at 2:30am at a cost of about £1.70. When I got up at 4am the Skoda App said it was 81%, when I checked it , getting into the car it said 82%.So, Ohme App said it was charging as normal, showed 100% when finished and correctly showed the price but it didn’t actually charge?
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
March 22, 2024 at 9:32 am #268990I’ve had issues with my Ohme home pro, but it looks like it’s an issue with my electric supply. The charger was showing error and not charging and when you switched it off and on it showed overvoltage. After a few calls to Ohme, Octopus and my energy supplier I’ve had a monitor fitted for the past 3 days which will be collected this morning and hopefully it won’t take to long to sort out the reduction in power supply to my property which is what’s apparently causing the issue. I’m looking forward to once its fixed being able to plug the car in and leaving it to do its own thing and as others have said getting cheaper electricity at other times of the day than just 23:30 to 05:30.
I have a question if anyone can help. I’ve calculated that my car charges between 7.2 and 7.4 kwph so it adds roughly 10% charge per hour, I have a 67 kw battery, so in the 6 hours off peak charging with octopus I can add around 60% to the battery but if I plugged the car in to charge at for example 20:00 with a departure time of 09:00 from what I understand the charging may happen at anytime during those 13 hours so if the battery was at 10% and set to charge to 100% it could charge the car by 90% and it would all be charged at off peak rate as it’s been set to intelligent charge? Also anytime it decides to charge the car all your electricity used during each half hour period is also at off peak rate?
Like a lot of people who have or are making the change to electric this can all seem a bit bewildering, but once you get the hang of it and everything’s set up correctly the benefits are massive and I’m sure that within a few weeks it’ll be second nature.
March 23, 2024 at 8:44 am #269078I have no idea what is going on with this ohme charger now ?
So i enabled price cap as advised by ohme to 9p kwh as im on octopus go. I set a schedule (see pic) plugged charger in last night and i only got 8% charge all night
I’m truly baffled as what to do next
Something isn’t adding up at all (see pics)
March 23, 2024 at 8:46 am #269079March 23, 2024 at 8:50 am #269080So everything is set correctly on the ohme app to charge only at 9p kwh with octopus go added to the ohme app and my car added to the app yet its only given me an 8% charge from 12.30am-4.30am
March 23, 2024 at 6:52 pm #269130Mine (Ohme e-Pod) gave me even less than that Wednesday night. Even though the Ohme App said it was charging and showed it being charged to 100% (it wasn’t) when I got up.

What do you do once your battery runs out on the car? Do you end up paying the higher rate say during the day to charge
March 23, 2024 at 7:42 pm #269135in the Octopus app have you agreed to the tariff, rate (£) and confirmed what car you have?
March 23, 2024 at 8:16 pm #269136How can it charge for 4hrs and i only get 8% gain on the battery. I presume them hours was 12.30am-4.30am as i have the price cap on at 9p kwh which takes place at them hours on octopus go. I gained 8% only off that charge

March 23, 2024 at 8:46 pm #269141Can you put a picture up of the advanced settings page in the Ohme app, where it shows – load balancing, max rating and fuse rating?

I don’t let it get too low, I charge it at no lower than about 50%. I’ve only done one charge lower than that but that was using a high speed charger while I was waiting for my cable to arrive. I’ll charge it overnight again when I get back home (in Majorca at the moment) and see what happens. If that doesn’t work I’ll reset the charger and try during the day, at 30p/kWh it’s still less than half the price of my nearest commercial chargers.

Sure no problem
March 23, 2024 at 11:19 pm #269152That loks good but, just check the CT clamp reading goes up above 1A when you boil the kettle.
March 24, 2024 at 8:14 am #269159Think i will have to contact ohme tomorrow because the exact same thing happened again last night
Plugged in at 5pm
Only got an 8% charge. Car battery went from 38-46%
Active charging was 4hrs again too
I’m baffled by it ?
March 24, 2024 at 10:47 am #269167Which tariff do you have?
Octopus Go gives you 4 hours of charging from 00:30 to o4:30
Octopus Intelligent Go gives you 6 hours of cheap energy for you home each night and automatically charges your car when rates are cheaper during the day.
March 24, 2024 at 10:52 am #269169Something doesn’t look right with your schedualing
Sunday 24th March
15:25 to 07:24
Its put 7.1kW of charge in yet it is only 10:51

Ye i thought this
I did the scheduled as follows
March 24, 2024 at 12:33 pm #269181March 24, 2024 at 1:46 pm #269183You have this set to add 30% as above and on a couple of your pic’s on page 1. Surely this should be set much higher to 70-80%!
As a test
I would change above in the settings to add 70-80%
Enable price cap again and set it to never charge over your off peak pence/kWh
charging should be initiated between 0030 and o430 during your off peak rates, regardless of when you plug your car in.
