i for one and glad merc wont be coming back they have garbage customer service
I’ve had a B Class for 2.5 years and customer service has been faultless at two different dealers.
@rogerwilko any alternatives would be welcomed
Out of interest, is it right to assume that you decide on the badge then see what’s suitable? Say the Ford Kuga for example, suits your needs but you don’t like the badge. Mercedes/BMW have something similar but doesn’t quite have what you require for your disability. By your inference you wouldn’t take the car that suits your needs because of the badge. Motability is there to enable us to stay mobile not get us a lifestyle status symbol.
wow, that’s a bit of a jump, if keeping mobile is the only reason for the scheme, bring back the blue disability cars. Otherwise, considering we are paying for the AP and the monthly payment, more choice the better in my eyes.

I had a 120d M sport hatch as 2nd MB car after a 120d coupe 1st. Both amazing, the hatch was best car I’ve ever had. Sat on A5 autobahn at 150mph (240kph showing on satnav) and it was absolutely planted, it would easily return over 50mpg and playing silly beggars 1 day and driving like a nancy I got 72mpg.
Would have had another but the misses needed 2 new hips so struggled getting out so changed to a Q3.
I wouldn’t hesitate to have another beemer if they had something suitable.
Merc I’m not so sure as had friends who loved car but got terrible experience with after sales.
The Audi was lovely but I couldn’t get excited about it, seemed to lack soul that the beemer had.

I know exactly what you mean Gary. I have lost count of how many cars I have driven over the past 40 plus years of my driving life, but it runs into hundreds. If I had to rank them all then I’d say that probably 8 of the top 10 would be BMWs. They seem to be absolute masters of getting the right balance between quality, refinement, handling, performance and efficiency. Since first discovering how good they were over 20 years ago, I’ve moved away from them several times but have always found the alternatives to be lacking in one or more of these critical areas, and I’ve always been glad to move back to a BMW.
I was passing a BMW dealer today and popped in to take a look at the new X1 but they only had one and it was out on loan. They had an absolutely gorgeous X5 50i in Tanzanite Blue in the showroom, but at over £80k I was able to tear myself away from it ?

Now thats nice looking motor, that would look very nice sitting on the drive.
What are the chances of it joining the scheme with under £6k AP ?

Less than zero Kezo, but even at £20k AP I’d have it in a heartbeat ?
