pswoffI have ordered a Kuga Titanium Edition.
Does anyone have any recent experience of how long it takes to build and deliver a Kuga? I have spoken to my dealer and after 6 weeks they say there is still no build slot and they don`t know when it will be.

Steven ShipleyI ordered my Kuga 2.0 Diesel Titanium Edition (Motability) on 19th April 21 and I’ve still not heard a thing about it! Dealer’s rang a couple of times with no useful information! Really getting sick now! ??

Sheila KirkwoodWe are in the same situation as Steven Shipley. We ordered in Aug/Sep 21 and still waiting. We were told that ford were putting all their 2.0 litre diesel engines into their vans due to demand. Doesn’t help us very much. Like everyone on mobility there’s a reason for choosing the car, I’m so disappointed, if they don’t want to honour their irders then say so, don’t leave is hanging around.
February 8, 2022 at 10:55 am #176602We looked at the Kuga last March and we’re told then that the wait would be a minimum of 10 months and probably longer. Sounds like the usual problems that we hear on this forum every day. Dealers understating lead times to secure an order, coupled with delays in them being able to place orders due to not having order allocation slots. Sadly, this is not unique to Ford. Most dealers are guilty of this.
February 8, 2022 at 11:01 am #176603When I viewed the Kuga last August the sales guy just came out with “November delivery for the ST-Line PHEW” but I never even asked about delivery times as I was, at that time, just interested in the boot size so there pre-programmed to give a delivery date.

Amazing that they come out with such BS. I don’t think that there’s a car out there where a dealer can guarantee delivery in 3 months at present!

volkswinWhen we were looking at the Kuga a couple of weeks ago the sales person told us the delivery date would be December 2022 for a ST Line Phev

Busy MaloneYou’re looking around 10-12 months wait at present for a Ford, although I noticed theyve removed a bunch of models from their motability offers online. Some dealers haven’t seen a new car on their forecourts in 6 months.

WhitneyJust received an update to say my car has been built and is at the port in Valencia to be shipped to Southampton. I’m so happy that the car is an actual physical thing instead of it being up in the air! Should receive it by the mid March if all goes to plan.

RobertWhitney, which engine did you go for as I ordered the Fhev 2.5 in September so I’m hoping you ordered the same which may mean mine is being built shortly
March 2, 2022 at 2:44 pm #179142Hi Robert,
I ordered the 1.5 Diesel which has now arrived in Southampton. I have attached a screenshot of the sales form which shows the tracking updates. Hopefully, it’ll prove useful to you as a reference for waiting times.

March 4, 2022 at 7:32 pm #179339Just received a call this evening to say my Kuga arrived earlier than expected and hopefully I can pick it up next Friday. Really relieved that there are no more delays!

TerriI ordered my kuga on Sept 30th and it still has no build date. They are not a available to take anything out the show room. As the gave been told that they can only have 1 of each car do show what you can order. Its really an in limbo situation. And very frustrating!

KeriHello,
Ordered my Kuga st- line in December. Wish I would of come to this forum first, just wanted to know if anyone has received their car yet? I was told six months hoping the car may come a bit earlier than that. Does anyone think it’s a possibility?

March 21, 2022 at 2:48 pm #180594I found the following on a FB Motability group – posted an hour ago.
A Motability sales chap at SMC Ford Uxbridge London has a Ford Kuga 1.5 diesel Automatic STLine X available for immediate delivery on the scheme following a cancellation:

I have no connection with the dealer – just saw it on fb Motability group and thought it may be useful if anyone is wiating for one:

StephenSo 8 months since I ordered a 2.0l diesel auto. Still no build date. So frustrating. Dealer said they had no info on build dates.
March 29, 2022 at 1:06 pm #181123
StephenI have now been told that diesels have been discontinued but they will build existing orders. That came from customer helpline.
Spoke to my dealer and the Kuga I ordered in July 2021 still doesn’t have a build date.

Something doesn’t sound right there Brian. If it is being built on 26th April you should have it in June, unless the part built car goes into storage for 3 months awaiting a chip or two!
April 6, 2022 at 8:21 pm #182145Built in April, delivered 20 weeks later! Eh! Something wrong there!!!

DavidI ordered the new Kuga in August 2021 I’m still waiting ten months after order placed. There is still no production date. To be frank I think a Mobility car is been classed as 2nd class due to the fact dealer’s make more profit from a retail sale then they do from Mobility. Plus I might be untrusting I reckon if they make us wait long enough we might cancel the order so they don’t have to honour the upfront price since most have increased by between £500 -£1000. I won’t mention the dealer has anyone else experienced such a long wait.
