So I took delivery of my lovely Ioniq 5 N Line S on Monday drove away from the dealer quite happy, only to discover when I got home that it would not charge off my Zappi charger. I tried it with neighbours chargers but all I get is charging delayed and no electrical juice being delivered to the car.

 

I have since returned to the dealer who confirmed that there is no schedules set and there is indeed a problem, as it will charge off DC but not AC. Car booked in tomorrow for investigations so we will see what that brings.

 

Not the best start but these things happen.

I had an MG5, it needed 2 tyres & 3 wiper blades (back window too cause it’s an estate) over the 60k & 3 years I had it, never missed a beat.

I’ve had the Ioniq 6 for 15 months & 33k… it’s had 2 tyres & 2 wiper blades and I’d order another tomorrow if I could.

After 9 months of loving the Ioniq 5 it has happened again. Most likely ICCU failure. Sounded like a stone on the underside of the car (blown fuse). We will see how long it takes this time…

Just to add although not directly related to the OP but worth a mention is that by leaving an OBD2 plugged in whilst charging an N Line ( not sure about other models tbh )have in the past been found to cause charging issues

Removing it instantly corrected the fault
