I’ve seen many people post what they’ve ordered but scattered on separate posts. So thought I’d start this one just to see what everyone’s been ordering, why and what was in your shortlist

Yep picked it up on Wednesday and did about 20 miles and on Thursday it had a flat battery :/
the RAC came out today and swapped the battery over and it seems ok so far, just gotta set it all up again 🙁
bit disappointed in the ML sound system, the volume goes up to 60 but you can barely hear it below 20 and maxes out at a level still too low for my old ears, I was expecting a lot better from a 915w “Premium Surround Sound System” – the standard system in our old rav4 seems better and my sons mini blows it away with less than half the wattage
lovely to drive though, the steering is light and it feels really agile, only done 30 odd miles so its still early days, the voice commands have worked flawlessly so far
September 14, 2024 at 8:28 am #288611September 14, 2024 at 4:20 pm #288644My extended lease finishes end of the year. Do I order now before AP changes or near the end of the lease. Judging from how AP rose dramatically on the cars I am interested this quarter I decided to order this month.
Need an under 25s car. Coming from a Seat Ateca (best car I ever had on this scheme, no issues) the only thing near the size was the full hybrid Suzuki S-Cross. Other contenders were the VW family Seat Arona/Skoda Kamiq/VW T-Cross. All 1.0 auto. I don’t have a drive so EV out of the question plus nothing decent for under 25s.
Went to the local car supermarket where the salesman (thanks for your valuable time) had the used Suzuki, Seat and Skoda parked side by side for me to have a look at.
Suzuki is my first choice. In motion it’s well equipped apart from no sat nav. Boot space a bit small due up battery under floor. Kids ( sons who drive me around most of the time) said it looks dated inside. My Ateca has digital display etc.
Seat Arona. I am a large guy that uses walking stick to get around. For some reason I could not get behind the steering wheel. There was limited vertical movement on the steering wheel. Passenger side was no issue.
Skoda Kamiq. No problem getting comfortable behind the steering wheel or passenger side.
Went to the VW garage to look at the T-Cross. No issues in the driver or passenger side.
So Suzuki and Seat is out. Fancied the Skoda Kamiq Monte-Carlo but the adaptive cruise control is £800 extra. I found the adaptive cruise control very helpful in the Ateca.
Luckily VW has the adaptive cruise control as standard. (So does Seat Arona at the top spec). Went for the Match trim because it comes with the reversing camera.. Expected delivery early next year which does not bother me because I enjoy the Ateca with it’s equipment (it’s excellence lux) and wish I had the option to buy it after lease finishes. Will keep an eye out for it when it goes back.
Yeah kids were happy with the VW with its digital display and modern looks. Smaller than the Suzuki but the back seats slide forwards.
End of waffle 😔
September 15, 2024 at 3:22 pm #288688We’ve ordered the scenic esprit alpine in matte grey with the adjustable floor so that we can put the wheelchair in.
we have concerns the wheelchair won’t fit, as the test vehicle didn’t have the floor and was hard to get an exact measurement, but loved the car so worst case we’ll probably look for different wheelchair, tho finding one that does tilt and recline and has a smaller height than our pride fusion ain’t going to be easy.

When did you order, did they find you one in stock at the docks or was it supposed to be a factory order and they luckily had one already?
September 24, 2024 at 8:45 pm #289257I ordered on the 17th of this month and found one at the dock they had every colour in stock in the n line model so was quite lucky with it, if i wanted any other model it was 8 weeks
September 29, 2024 at 9:53 pm #289569Ordered the Scenic E-tech Techno last week from Arnold Clark, Hillington, @ £495 AP. Will see what Q4 brings tomorrow as well as keeping an eye on the deals BigDave does a great job of posting on here.
September 30, 2024 at 3:30 pm #289619Hello
I placed an order for the Q4 in May and I was given an estimated date of 30th of September and haven’t heard anything.
Chased them up on Thursday morning to see if there was any delays and never received a call back. Called them again this morning and I’m still waiting for a call back and also sent an email!

Thats good news. I saw a Glovis ship had left Zeebrugge a coupke of weeks ago and maybe it had dropped cars off in the UK.
But having the pick from the dockside Ioniq 5’s is a goodun!!

Thats because you’ve chose matte grey, apparently according to my dealer matte colours and digital teal have very long waits, they must not make any spares in those colours for some reason, order only however i cant get a black either so i think itsjust luck of the draw

September 30, 2024 at 4:08 pm #289626I’d be cancelling. Nine months!
The most I’m prepared to wait is four or five at a push.

The worst part is the dealer. I’ve never had bad dealers until now. But this guy will not return any calls or emails at all. I’ve penned an email to send over the sales manager as not getting any update or information from the guy is a joke.
I’ve even emailed asking if I change colour could I get car sooner. No reply it’s shocking definitely will not use again or take it for service will find another dealer.
9months is very long time I’ve only found this information out on my car by contacting Hyundai uk for information.
September 30, 2024 at 4:27 pm #289628Popped into my local Ford dealer to check out the new Ford Explorer and liked it so much I ordered one on the spot. Explorer Premium in Frost White with 21 inch wheels. Delivered exactly one week after I ordered it. Fantastic car.

Did you have to pay an extra £1000 AP to get those 21 inch wheels ?
September 30, 2024 at 5:06 pm #289631@Borris Hyundai dealers can look at every car that is in stock at Tilbury docks (there are many hundreds) so can tell you at a glance which colours (exterior and interior) are available for immediate call off. If your dealer isn’t showing you this then I’d speak to a different Hyundai dealership. If there’s one in stock they can call it off and you should have it in 3 or 4 weeks. I suspect that the choice of paint is the stumbling block, but I’d still check elsewhere.
When we ordered our Tucson Ultimate PHEV a few months back, people on the Tucson forum were saying that they’d been told by their dealers that the new Cypress Green colour was not available until next year. Our dealer said this was nonsense and could get us one in two of the three interior trims within weeks – which he did.
September 30, 2024 at 5:22 pm #289633@Borris I’ll second @Glos-Guy ‘s comment, as I to got to pick the trim and colour choice from Tilbury docks.

thank you for all this info. I’ve since gone back to my dealer and he’s told me that it’s not just that simple they have to get permission from motability. Thinks he’s trying to fob me off I’m gonna call motability tomorrow an ask them to sort it.

To me, that sounds very much like they never ordered your car. If the paint cost needed approval from Motability, they would have had to do that before ordering your car. This is a big red flag. I think you need to use a different dealership. If you were prepared to say whereabouts in the U.K. that you live there may be someone on here who can recommend a good Hyundai dealer. I would happily recommend ours.
September 30, 2024 at 11:42 pm #289661@Borris @Glos-Guy
What the dealer has said about paint cost doesn’t really make any sense, as Motability make it quite simple by allow solid and metallic colours. Anything other i.e special paints, it up to the dealer on whether they include it FOC or charge for the difference for a special paint. It isn’t the first time a scheme customer has gone for matte!
Ive had 2 consecutive Hyundai’s on the scheme, each time they have sourced me one from the docks during the initial ordering process, so permission isn’t needed either to order a car from dealer stock or the docks.
Hope you get it sorted.
