I found an interesting little video, hopefully I can get it working. As an intro, SCR are distributers for a number of very highly regarded audio manufacturers for after market car audio upgrades, including a number of companies that have high end awards that genuinely mean they can sound fantastic, even in a car’s awful environment. The guy in charge was my first judge back when I was spending more than my car was worth on making music play rather well.

Your title suggests the upgrades are to be added to ford and VW – does this mean at manufacturing stage – I suspect if I watched vid I would know??I think you missed the point in the video, or just didn’t watch it? The video actually removes the door midbass and tweeter and shows the manufacturer label on the back. This is from the top of the range upgraded system and is simply cheap Chinese speakers. All the bluster about who they are is because I give them a deal of credit about speaker quality and their ability to identify great sounding speakers just from looking. I took one look at what they showed and the plastic and shape of them suggested they’d be rather disappointing to listen to.

Genuine video from facebook, the company simply took the speakers out of the B&O upgraded system and showed the speakers from the door, one being the Midbass (bigger woofer) and one the tweeter and they were both VW labelled and from a company called Han Sonic. If these guys have had a look and suggested they’re cheap Chinese speakers, they’re cheap Chinese speakers. I’d feel pretty miffed if I’d paid for the upgrade to get better audio in a Ford just to get low cost speakers labelled and sold to VW.

No i saw the video, I was just saying that Moto don’t allow modifications
I already knew the B&O systems wasn’t genuine since I saw them when I had windows tinted in my Mach-E
When I questioned fords about it they mearly state that it has a B&O system which can include them only “tuning” the sound profile of the speakers

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues@Mack2024 fair enough. I wasn’t suggesting changing speakers although I’d love to see if they’d notice if I had my mate replace speakers only. You’d see nothing without needing a set of tools.
