I’m not sure this is correct – The e-Puma starts at £66 a week and even top spec is £78…..

Are we still allowed a free home charger as a 1st time lease?

That’s very sensible given the state of my current motor!!

Yes, if this is your first EV through the scheme the charger offer still stands.  You still need your own private drive/off street parking where the car and charger won’t have public access between them.

That’s a lot of car for that money but the 43kWh battery will see you struggle to drive further than about 175 miles and potentially a lot less on a long drive in winter.  That’s said, if you don’t go on many huge journeys, it’s a non issue.

Thanks for that but I’ve just found a few deals direct with Ford and I’m staggered….

£1600 Deposit and 24 x £136! With free Charger & fitting and 10000 miles free charging units included!

A few Ford dealers got this promo going right now, that’s really really good!!

Why would it not be correct? £66 a week is still over £10,000 for a 3 year lease, for a car that you will never own!

The e-Puma is currently the only car that qualifies for the maximum government EV grant, so it’s also no surprise that there will also be some very keen deals to be had for private buyers.

            Which Mobility Car

Clearly all of the EV Grant is being passed on to customers. It’s very good news.

Is there any car with a range of 300 miles or more for not much more money a week ?

I would say thats a slightly better deal than Motability are listing on face value.

£4864 + insurance costs over 24 months (£1.000), it’s highly unlikely you would need tyres and breakdown cover would be included for at least the first year, so would work out at £2932 a year.

                  Motability: £66pw over 3yrs £10,296, works out at £3,432 a year!

Are you talking summer or winter range?

                        base Nissan Ariya.

The base Ariya will touch 300 miles around town in summer but on a run in winter will deliver half that.  For true 300 ish mile driving you want the 87kWh version.

To get further you’re either looking for a smaller car or a bigger battery.

The Niro goes much further but £0 gets you quite a poverty spec. The Kona offers slightly more miles and equipment and for £199 you can add the comfort pack, which has got to improve the experience.

”Why would it not”???? Because it’s the same price as a Dacia Spring and a Brand New model and did you know sometimes motability makes mistakes!!!

                            That’s “Why would it not” it’s a simple/friendly question

Dont forget, if you are coming from a petrol car to an ev, you will save a lot of money using a home charger.

When I moved from petrol to ev, I saved £100/month i was not putting petrol in a car. That £2400 over  2 years.

My petrol bill was £120/month and now spend £20/month on electricity.

Not many factor in the money you save by not filling up. Thats £3600 over 3 years in my pocket, thats as a low mileage user.
