We had a phone call today from the dealer

We ordered a Grey Enyaq sportline 80x on the 2nd October, we paid £500 deposit from the AP to order the vehicle we received or order confirmation by email and were allocated a delivery date of the end of January 24

Today we have been informed that our order has been cancel as the vehicle is being removed to from the scheme and will over be 60 and 85Editions but they cannot be reordered via motabilty until January, so they have processed out £500 refund

We spoke to motability and they have said that’s not right we can go ahead with the 80 order, the girl was a bit confused because she could not find a 60 or 85 Edition on the system

Does anyone know what to do?

      Thanks Peter

@Peter there is a long thread about the Enyaq problems just above yours. Have a read at that, it won’t help but will show you that it’s all a bit messed up and you’re not on your own.

Yes, there are a lot of us affected-

I think the only way we can push a resolution on this is to now make motability aware that this is causing unnecessary distress. If you are affected, I recommend you lodge a complain with motability regarding

1- the time this is taking to get resolved

2- the fact that the outgoing car is still advertised on their website

3- lack of clarity from the dealership network

4- no statement from Motability on how long this will take to get resolved

5- a risk to this with new vehicle bonuses not being able to use them should motability now push the model back to being available from January 2024

          To complain, follow this link.

          https://www.motability.co.uk/get-support/contact/complaints/

The more of us that now take this route, the more motability will understand the confusion/distress/anger that it is causing prospective leaseholders.

If you go to the skoda uk website and search for 80x sportlines on the new car search, uts showing 37 cars available.

See uf your dealer can irder one of those, or see if you can irder ige from the dealers with the car.

I’m amazed you had to pay a dep8sit, I’ve never had to with skoda.

I ordered an 80x on 14th October and have a build date of week 2. I’m surprised you didn’t get a build date?

              @Roder Wicko

it says in our  post we  had a delivery date Of January with build date of week 49

our dealer has said they Skoda website is showing vehicles that are not actually available as they are pre allocated to fleet companies

nothing surprises me with Skoda these days

it’s almost like here’s what you could have had but we decided to give it to someone else

Peter, as said there’s a long and complicated thread about just how confusing the current situation is with Skoda around their Enyaq changes.   The short answer is nobody seems to know much about it.  I’d really not expect the customer service people to understand the intricacies seeing as there’s some real car nerds on here who have been researching for months and haven’t a clue what’s happening.  The Motability system still offers 80 versions that Skoda will tell you no longer exist.  Skoda’s systems have all moved on to the 85 versions which Motability don’t yet recognise.  The end result?  Confused potential customers.

Have you looked at the Ioniq 5, Nissan’s Ariya or even Toyota’s BZ4X?  The Toyota prices are quite similar but the car has mixed revues, the Ioniq 5 is slight more expensive but you do get the 77kWh battery and can go up to the Ultimate with Tech pack which completely eclipses the spec of the Skoda.  The Ariya is more expensive, starting where the Skoda ended but is a really well built car, although less spacious.  The Advance is as well equipped as the Sportline Plus Enyaqs but can either come in an adequate 64kWh or huge 87kWh batteries or you can go bit spec and get the Evolve in shorter range only but, like the Ioniq 5, get much more for your money.   I’ve not looked at the Toyota (because I personally don’t like them) but if you can get along with it’s looks the Ioniq 5 is a really good car and really well equipped although, like all of them, smaller than the Enyaq’s boot.

I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.
