Courtesy car

My Renault Zoe EV is going into repair and I will be provided a courtesy car. It obviously won’t be an electric car, has anyone had any success claiming the difference in fuel costs? The reason for asking is that I’m on a very tight budget and an ice car will be significantly more expensive.

        April Fools?

        Sorry, no of course not.

Did you ever claim the difference between your own diesel car and a petrol loan car?

If you had a petrol car and they loaned you an electric car, would you expect to pay them?

You can see where I’m going.

You are getting a free curtesy car and now you want the differance in fuel costs! Do let us know how you get on with that when you ask the dealership or motability, won’t you.

Edit I am from Yorkshire also.

I presume that Renault are doing the repairs? If so, have you relayed your concern to them for them to have opportunity to see if they can loan you a demo EV maybe if they don’t have a courtesy one available? I can’t see any mileage in you being reimbursed however.
