China’s EV Uptake Is Years Ahead of Targets and Forecasts

For the first time ever, China’s electric vehicle sales are set to outpace traditional car sales on an annual basis in 2025, years in advance of the Chinese authorities’ targets and years ahead of analyst projections, according to the latest industry forecasts provided to the Financial Times by research companies and investment banks.

EV prices are alot lower in China than in other countries, like europe and US, making them more accessible to the average consumer.

Here in the UK, EV sales accounted for just over 25% in November and that was without any government subsidies. People are buying them because they want them, and of those who have an EV, very few (3% ish) say they would go back to ICE.

As for me and Mrs Joe, we love our EV and would never go back to ICE ourselves.
