Can anyone tell me what charging cables come as standard for a Hyundai Ioniq 5, Škoda Enyaq or Cupra Tavascan.

Ioniq 5 Type 2 5m cable (I havent even looked to see if there’s a granny in there but I doubt it)
Enyaq I believe is the same, just a type 2

They are thicker and heavier than a garden hose, they can stick on the charger side a little, making it slightly difficult to pull out. Next time you pass a public rapid charger, lift up the plug and see what you think.

The 7kW Type 2 5m cables are heavier than a hose but aren’t worse to tidy up than a standard garden hose, except you shouldn’t get wet.
Public cables are a different beast altogether. The higher the charge rate, the heavier the cooling needs to be, which leads to quite a bulky and heavy cable. Not impossible to pull around and some companies have a cable arm which bears a lot of the weight. As suggested, next time you’re in the same place as one, pick up the connector, see how easy it is to move around.

September 18, 2025 at 8:43 am #312782My ’25 Ioniq 5 came with the 5m Type 2 and a granny charger. I took the granny out and only keep the type 2 in the car. No V2L adaptor, they dropped that as a standard item and ask silly prices for it. There are plenty of Hyundai/Kia ones on ebay if you fancy one.
Done over 50,000 miles in EV’s over 4 years now, not used the granny or the type 2 cable yet (I have a tethered charger at home).
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
