Thinking of getting a Suzuki S-cross. Some dealers do have them in stock which they can supply to motability customers. If I order end September before the new quarter can they hold the car until end of November? This won’t be an issue if they have to order a new car from the manufacturer. Dealers might say take it asap to get their numbers up/free up space but was wondering what my rights were.

Currently have a Seat Ateca 1.6 diesel which is for under 25s on extended 5 year lease. Want to keep hold of it as long as possible. Pity no other car this size is available for under 25s.

@Wazza Probably your better asking the dealship about this. Pose your question to them and see what they say. Be guided by that.

We had this issue with Marshalls with our son’s car. They said it was ok then the car turned up in May. Dealers will lie to you in order to get the order especially salesmen who need it to hit their target. Have they told you how long a factory order will take?

Dealers will check if they have one in stock. If they do then it could be within a week or two. Otherwise might be at least 2 or 3 months.

I know the dealers will say take it ASAP but I wanted to know if I had rights. What I will do is wait till end of sept before ordering.
