      Hi Folks,

Any catfood the cat doesnt eat goes into the Hog feeding station.

Its usually taken every day an have a camera on the station to see the hogs. The past few daysthe food has not been touched. Usually 2 or 3 hogs use it.

If you feed hogs, are they currently taking the food?

Usually the stop feeding much later in Winter, and this is the earliest they have stopped. Could be a portent of a rough Winter if they are hibernating early??

Sadly not anymore. I use to feed the birds and hedgehogs, untill I noticed uninvited guests taking the food!

          Thx Kezo.

But I do keep an eye on the traffic, in and out of the hoghouse using a cheap Ali Express camera.

There are no rats, too many cats keep the population down. A tip from the ratcatcher, if your shed is hard on the ground, its ideal for rats.  But if your shed is raised using a few bricks, the rats avoid it as cats can get under there.

Good idea using camera and seeing wildlife close up. We use to do that with the birdbox, with a cheap Ali camera. Said to my daughter, will put one out next year again, as she use to love watching.

I did last year but events have overtaken me this.

I also have a camera watching the hut, maybe it’s not too late to start a feeding station?

Always good to help the wildlife out, just dont attract rats…lol. cameras are good for that. Yup Mike, squirrels live in dreys in the trees, looks like a ball of twigs up high.

As for cameras I use a couple of makes. TPlink are good but not waterproof, i invert a tupperware tub or carry out tub and that can keep it dry. I have a couple of Ali Express waterproof ones, can be hit an miss, sometimes they only last a couple of months.
