      As Above.

Some people think that the phasing out of ICE is going to be delayed or deferred 2030 – 2035,

You are wrong, it is going to be brought forward.

This year 2023 is the first year of a full degree increase in average global climate temps since the 1970’s. The trend is ANOTHER degree increase by 2030. IT is THAT fast.

The removal of ICE will be brought forward for ONE reason. The Furious temperatures seen in North America and Southern Europe these past 3 weeks. It is not over yet and this will re-focus the minds of the EU members and thus the UK to cutting emissions. Europe is essentially burning.

Give it a few weeks and see what stance the Govt’s take regarding ICE and renewable energy.

You think they are going to extend the date for removal od ICE vehicles? No, they will make 2030 the END of ICE, completely. Not just new vehicles but ALL vehicles.

Just watch what happens in the UK in the next few weeks. The fires in Greece will fire up these stupid ‘Just stop oil’ thugs. It is like a call to arms for them…expect them to be very very active in the next few weeks…

As I said give it a few weeks for the wildfire disaster to unfold and see where the UK Govt sits on Green Policy.

Every opposition party will crucify Sunak or any Tories on the Dispatch Box if they do not end ALL ICE before 2030.

This is a game changer, and it doesnt matter what the UK gutter press prints, it is the Govt that makes policy, NOT the gutter press.

Give it a couple of months to play out and see where the EU and UK Govt green policies go……the fires are a catalyst for change.

Likewise if manufacturers use Motability to meet their EV sales targets, at the expense of other fuelled vehicle’s I’ll just go elsewhere.

        Same here.

I’m not bothered either way I’m just saying for the ones who’s ordered on the premise that all ICE cars will be banned by 2030 and to get used to an EV they’ve switched early in anticipation could they now switch back for the time being

Sorry, but you do know the ban applies to brand new ICE vehicles being sold by 2030/2035, right? You can still buy a new ICE vehicle leading up to the ban and then drive it for as long as you want to after ban comes in. You can also get an ICE car on the second hand market and drive it after ban comes into place. Being able to afford fuel prices and getting parts for the cars is another matter.

People see a headline and hear what they want. It was never ever going to be that driving ICE was going to be made illegal in 2030.

            "Come on BYD Seal!"
