Not my story, but I thought I’d share.

My Dad has a Mitsubishi Outlander on the Motability Scheme, extended for +2years, so getting close to 4yrs old now.

On Monday last week, my parents broke down on there way down to the south west coast from the West Midlands on there midweek break.

Motability sorted everything out & they had a chauffeur driven recovery truck ride down to there hotel, then the recovery truck was back up to the West Mids for the supplying dealer to fix.

A Nissan Qashqai delivered the following day, so all good, apart from his mobility scooter is still in the outlander.

They were back home on the Friday, so the replacement Nissan had been arranged to be swapped out for there outlander on the following Monday at 12pm.

Unfortunately my Dad had to be taken to A&E on the Monday morning, so the prearranged car swap was a no go, They kept Motability updated  & the Qashqai had been extended for a further week, due to not knowing when he would be out of hospital.

Then 3hrs later, in my mom’s words, some snotty woman from Motability called saying where is our Qashqai, it should have been returned Hrs ago. A further explanation from Mom & apology’s from Motability, karma has been restored.

Luckily they let Dad out of hospital late yesterday , so today he phoned the local dealer to check when he can swap the loaner back to his outlander because he needs his mobility scooter back as well as preferring his own car.

The dealership reply was, sorry, you can’t have your car yet or the scooter, as the car is not here.

So on to Motability again, who don’t know where the outlander is,

Motability in contact with the recovery company who track down the outlander to a compound down south somewhere.

Motability then advised my Dad the outlander will be back up to the local dealers today or tomorrow so that it can be fixed.

If or when the outlander is back, at least he can grab his scooter out of it, I only hope it fits in the smaller boot of the Qashqai until his outlander is back with him again.

Going off track a little bit, our own Motability car new order date is this March.

A Tiguan R Line Tech is top of my list,

Or possibly a BMW X1 XLine

Even the new Ford Kuga depending on price & when it arrives to the scheme.

But Mrs TT loves the Peugeot 3008, oh what hell LOL
