My car had it’s first birthday last month with 7,000 miles on the clock, now if I take away long distant holiday use of about 3,000 miles leaves 4,000 miles relatively short journeys and a typical day could mean 4 miles to supermarket then taxi driver takes a break while were doing the shopping of 45 minutes to an hour in supermarket then another 4 miles home, an hour or so later a trip to pick up grand-kids and take them home from school then who knows a trip out to see a relative a few miles down the road.
So while my mileage could be said to be low on most day’s, and yes there are a couple of day’s a week where the car might not be used at all, but on those day’s it is used its not so much the mileage that would be a problem for me but the waiting about doing nothing and a taxi driver would have to endure while I go about my day and even at minimum wage limit that will be expensive and there’s no-way I’m going to sit about at home, at supermarket, at doctors and on and on, waiting for a taxi to turn up with all the excuses under the Sun for turning up late.
