Hardly any members on here would be happy having a Drive Smart Black Box in our car, but just to bring to the attention to any of us (like myself) who would be unaware, there are other things we should be aware of.
I stay just outside of Glasgow and in 2022 a person crossing over one of our dual carriageways instead of the underpass and was fatally knocked down by a car which was being driving over the speed limit by a 43 year old driver.
The driver at the time said he was driving at about 50mph, however the diagnostics system in his car, showed up as 91mph from a sensor behind his VW badge on his bonnet. He was also clocked at 89mph on passing a petrol station camera nearby, not a speed camera. The driver was sentenced last week, to 4 years in prison.
