There needs to be some common sense applied here. It’s been said several times but when commercial leases can be adjusted for extra mileage allowance, there’s no reason why Motability can’t be flexible with an addition to the AP agreed in advance. Simply put, on a car where the new AP would be £1,000 a 15,000 annual allowance could make that AP £1,750 and if you need 20k, you pay £2,500. I know there will be people for whom the extra payment is unaffordable but it helps the majority.
