That kind of confirms the theory of fracture/stress fracture. To be fair, if the bone is aligned there’s not much beyond a boot that a doc will do. That said, if it’s out of line or a complex fracture (unlikely in a small bone) they may want to either manipulate it back or surgically correct it. My guess would be pain relief and a boot for 6 weeks.
Still, advice stands. You’re concerned enough to ask about it, you need to get it looked at in person by a professional. It won’t get better quicker if you try and ignore it, in fact the opposite applies. The sooner it gets a secure support where it can heal without the constant aggravation of movement, the sooner it’ll heal.
