Probably better to phone motability to check your plan is ok.
But best guess if you hand a car back with no plates on it, you will lose your gcb. Having no plates means it is not road legal.
Or just spend a few quid getting halfords to make and fit the plates for you. Is it really worth losing £250 for £20 plates?
