As most councils don’t allow leads going over footpaths (I assume you have a footpath between your gate and the road where the car is parked?) see if they know about Kerbocharge and can either offer it or would be willing to allow you to have one of their cable gullies fitted?

I’ve had one fitted for just over 2 years, my housing association were a bit reluctant at first as they’d never had one before so I was their guinea pig!. It works as shown on the website, I got my charger through Motability with an 8m lead.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
