Most time constrained offers are to meet targets, whether it’s quarterly sales or annual EV. I’m thinking they’ve a target they’re close to but orders beyond that target date (April1) would be possibly ignored for now. If they’re a high pressure, bonus lead company, there’s every chance they’d give you their granny if they were very close to target and maybe that’d be incentive for them in May.

Going back a month maybe two, the day @ajn was due to pick up his HS hybrid, I remember an offer coming about at another dealer group for, I think £500 off and ajn ringing the his dealership to ask if they would honour the same deal, baring in mind he was picking the car up that afternoon. The dealer said come down as planned and I’ll have an offer for you, so off ajn popped that afternoon and the dealer said you owe nothing! I think at the time the, new Hybrid+ had long joined the scheme and at that time had an AP of £1995. Not bad!

Dealerships normally work on mothly targets however, if you follow the offers thread dealers tend to work on quarters for Motability and seem to get more cars in, perhaps more than they normally would for a quick turnover with Motability customers and the offers are basically the same each quarter, as seen in the offers thread. Of course this is tactical, as it greatly helps sales staff and dealerships owners to meet their targets, thus leading to a better percentage discount from manufacturers. Probally partly the reason so many premium manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon with Chinese offshoots attached next door!
