@Glos_Guy absolutely. Looking through Autotrader yesterday I can get a Mach E AWD long range for £16k that’s a longer range version of the one on the scheme with all the toys and dual motors, all for a touch over double the AP for the lesser Mustang on the scheme. There’s warranty issues but if it’s good for 6 years, I’ve spent barely anything more than the AP and have used the PIP money to insure, service and run it, as well as saving for the next one. There’s plenty to decide this side of next November, alongside plenty of time to see how everything pans out.
That sounds like an extremely sensible plan to me. As well as all the factors you mention, when you decide to change it you will have a very large deposit with whatever the part exchange value is at the time.
