I had a thought today, sat waiting for my wife and daughter to finish shopping.
Most of my cars have been of a standard height, or near enough. The ZS was taller than the Ioniq 5 is but it was never what I felt a proper SUV to feel like, probably because it’s a cheap Chinese crossover thing.
So I thought I’d have a look through the Motability list and see what was bigger and quickly came to the conclusion that they’ve really made it impossible to see what’s what. Three cars side by side, all with pictures, the Astra, Ariya and Mach E. It was obvious that the larger picture for the Astra suggested it was the shortest car but you’d be forgiven for thinking the Mach E and Ariya stand at the same height. All because they’ve created thumbnails of x millimetres in height.
So, maybe I want a proper SUV, if my budget allows. Unfortunately, SUVs with batteries and motors, no engines here please, powered boot and really comfortable seats big enough for 5 if necessary don’t seem to come with affordable. Think something around Enyaq money.
