You can find out what excess you need to pay for insurance claims in your lease terms and conditions. I suspect its less than the GCB If so go ahead with the repair and then claim full GCB at a later date
Sorry, but as has been mentioned above there is no need to have a repair done as advised by DLM. Why tell the OP to spend money where there’s no need to? Unbelievable.
