    I completely agree @Ioniq the scheme is great when it works.  There’s no chance I’d be driving the car I have through any other means.

    The one thing with driving without a care, the range will suffer.  I’m sure if I wanted and was properly careful I could squeeze 330 miles or more out of the Hi5 in summer but I’m more than happy to charge ever 10 or so days (if I let it go down to sub 20%) while I’m doing the round town driving.  I know I can get enough on a long journey but I really don’t think about range.

    If I were to obsess, pre conditioning and heaters wouldn’t be allowed unless we can’t see out, I’d get more miserable miles out of the car.  What concerns me is those who regularly measure their range and compared it against the WLTP and decide the car is unfit when it’s short.  There’s always a reason for cars not going as far as others, whether it’s driving style or accessories used or a combination of both.
