I’ve had my 74 plate Sportage GT Line 1.6 petrol since the 16th of September, roughly 6 to 7 weeks. I do low miles also. It’s mainly used for taking my son to college, school runs, work and back etc… The other week I recently got that PPF warning and it’s only done just over 800 miles since I got it. Surely the PPF can’t clog up that quick considering the car is brand new? I’ve contacted Kia and they were going to book me in for a forced regen. I have obviously done my research on how to clear it myself. Fortunately I needed to do a big run the other day and I was driving for over an hour at high speeds. The issue still persists. I’m thinking if Kia do the forced regen, it’s only going to happen again after a 1000 miles or so. I can’t be having that at all. I thought the point of a motability car was to have a new reliable car. My previous car was a Zafira 2005 plate. I paid £900 for it and had it for 9 years. It was 19 years old when I got this new car. It had been a workhorse and hadn’t cost me that much to maintain in the time I had it. I’m thinking I made a mistake now.
