I know some will think I am mad but I pay the £20 for the TomTom app. I have found it the most accurate for traffic and more importantly road closures, especially at night. I also prefer the interface that shows any upcoming delays and possible quicker routes.
I run Waze in the background and it does indeed still give me the warnings for police/cameras etc over my speakers.
