des, the “laminated acoustic glass” adds a sound reflective layer which enhances the clarity of the sound. It works well.
I currently have the ten speaker Focal hi-fi audio system in my 3008GT hybrid, and it provides a superb sound experience in my opinion. The opening sunroof will increase the interior light and interior ambience, although keeping it closed will give the optimum ‘sound experience’ when I’m sat at one of the many local Beauty spots, so I’ve added the “Sensation pack” to my E-3008 order.
I’ve also added the “mistral full grain leather electric ‘AGR’ pack” as I have a similar electric pack in my current car, and I would struggle now if I changed to a manual system.
I am now considering whether to add the “360 vision pack” as it has a few extra useful safety features. The AP reduction makes it a more justifiable addition.
I definitely will not be adding a “heat pump” as I don’t cover enough miles to justify the additional expense.
The Motability ‘specialist’ at my dealership told me yesterday that he is expecting to have an ‘E-3008’ demonstrator sometime in the next two weeks. I normally would not have considered placing an order for a car I had not sat in and driven, but the fact that I have driven my 3008 GT hybrid for three years means that I’m fairly sure I will find it okay. However, I have seen a few journalists and reviewers commenting on “an unsettled clunky ride over English roads” due to the considerable extra weight generated by the very heavy battery floor. As I suffer from spinal nerve damage I will need to check this one last detail by driving a ‘demo’ around the beautiful (but much potholed) lanes and ‘B’ roads that criss cross my part of the Severn valley.
These are just a few personal thoughts on my own particular “needs and wish list”, but of course your needs and wishes will be different …. It’s good to have such a positive AP surprise for a change.
