Contacted ohme and installer and they insist only they can do the work! I have both emails – I did ask I we can do prep work. They said no. Motability then said only 5m cable with instal. basically a monopoly and total rip off merchants.

They can’t stop you digging a trench and laying a concrete base with some conduit in to feed the cable up to the post, even if they want to ay the cable and you then getting it put back as was. I speak as an installer of charge points.
If Motabilty are saying 5m of cable, why is there conflicting advice on their website!
